Soul-Harvesting Network
- Captured souls were delivered to Branch Halls rather than directly to the headquarters; even Human-Rank Protector Iron Protector did not know why the Hall collected them. 112
- Branch Halls operated covertly in hidden spaces. One Branch Hall in a desolate mountain stream could evade detection even from ordinary Dou Zuns, while gray-robed personnel transported writhing sacks into it. 166
- Soul Hall personnel used stored souls as expendable resources in battle, including to reinforce the Thousand Ghost Shadow Formation against pill tribulation lightning. 173
- The Hall's version of “resurrection” involved erasing a body's original soul and placing another soul inside; Yao Lao described the resulting body as one that would eventually rot away. 185
- Xiao Yan identified twelve Branch Halls as targets for destruction and intended to turn their slain members into puppets. 203
Practices and Objectives
- Soul Hall sought Yao Lao's soul body and the Tou She Ancient God Jade carried by Xiao Yan. 88
- Its senior members discussed making the entire Dou Qi Continent a “soul-harvesting ground” after the Ancient Clan lowered its guard. 166
- The organization destroyed the Heavenly Flame Empire and planned further expansion into the Northwest Territory, including the Chu Yun, Mu Lan, and Jia Ma Empires. 147 166
- It used secret techniques alongside the Heavenly Underworld Sect to force rapid cultivation by gathering souls and consuming flesh and blood; the resulting Half-Saints had drastically shortened lifespans. 216
- Soul Hall's leaders treated even their own high-ranking subordinates as disposable. Soul Sea Saint froze, killed, and collected the souls of three defeated Advanced Half-Saints. 201
History
Conflict with Yao Lao and Pill Tower
Soul Hall was implicated in the attack that led to Yao Lao's fall, having allegedly incited Han Feng to murder him. Its pursuit of Yao Lao's soul continued when Wu Protector located him in the Jia Ma Empire. 88
Yao Lao's disappearance also contributed to the war between Pill Tower and Soul Hall. Although Pill Tower's three giants later assembled experts to oppose the Hall, they failed to gain an advantage, leaving many Central State factions afraid to openly challenge it. 147 151
Pursuit of Xiao Yan
Soul Hall began openly targeting Xiao Yan after discovering that he possessed the Tou She Ancient God Jade. Wu Protector attempted to seize the jade and Yao Lao's soul during Misty Cloud Sect's alliance with Soul Hall. 88
At the Pill Gathering, Mu Gu Old Man led five Soul Hall Dou Zuns in an ambush against Xiao Yan. They sealed the surrounding space and demanded the jade, but Xiao Yan used the tribulation lightning of his Nine-Pattern Venerable Zenith Pill against them before killing the survivors. 171 172 173
Destruction of the Heavenly Haze Valley Branch Hall
Xiao Yan and Rain Sword Venerable attacked a Branch Hall guarded by Xin Celestial Venerable and Ling Celestial Venerable, both Five-Star Dou Zuns. The two guardians believed Xiao Yan was still only a Dou Zong, based on an outdated report. 166
Xiao Yan killed Xin Celestial Venerable, defeated Ling Celestial Venerable, and destroyed the Branch Hall. He left behind a flaming mark bearing the character for “flame,” announcing his arrival to Central State. 168
Siege of Starfall Pavilion
In retaliation for the Branch Hall's destruction, Soul Hall sent four Celestial Venerables and thirteen Dou Zuns to encircle Starfall Pavilion. Blood Underworld Celestial Venerable declared that anyone interfering with Xiao Yan's punishment would become an enemy of Soul Hall. 185
The assault failed catastrophically. Soul Hall sacrificed three Celestial Venerables and six Venerable Elders to destroy what proved to be only Xiao Yan's Three Thousand Lightning Illusionary Body. 187
The Vice Hall Master later arrived as a projection, but the appearance of several Half-Saints and six Dou Saint projections prevented Soul Hall from continuing the attack. 188 189
Soul Sea Saint's Defeat
Soul Sea Saint, a Dou Sheng and senior Soul Hall figure, entered the conflict after Bone Nether and two other Half-Saints failed against Xiao Yan. He declared that Soul Hall possessed at least a dozen Half-Saints and regarded true Dou Shengs as the organization's backbone. 201
Xiao Yan severely injured Soul Sea Saint with a Seven-Colored Fire Lotus. When Xiao Yan used himself as bait, Ten Thousand Swords Saint, Fire Cloud Old Ancestor, Heavenly Sound Saint, and Pill Tower's Old Monster Lin were forced to take a public stance against Soul Hall. 202 203 204
Soul Sea Saint was killed, and his fleeing soul was destroyed by the combined attacks of Heavenly Sound Saint, Ten Thousand Swords Saint, and Fire Cloud Old Ancestor. 204
Fall in Central State
Soul Hall backed the Lion Nether Sect's invasion of the Jia Ma Empire, eventually prompting the Heavenly Mansion Alliance to mobilize for open war. 208 215 216
Hun Miesheng personally appeared with the Vice Hall Master, Great Celestial Venerable, and several other Dou Saints. Xiao Yan destroyed the Nihility Devouring Flame's Sub-fire, later absorbed it, and seriously injured Hun Miesheng. 216 218
Hun Miesheng was ultimately erased through the Bodhi Ancient Tree after forcing his strength to the Seven-Star Dou Sheng level. Xiao Yan then defeated the Vice Hall Master and recovered the jade plaques of the surviving senior Soul Hall figures. 219
The Heavenly Mansion Alliance purged Soul Hall's main hall and Branch Halls across Central State. All Celestial Venerables and Half-Saints in the region were killed, while only a small number of lesser members escaped. 219 220

Trivia
- After the purge, Xiao Yan found no soul bodies in either Soul Hall's main hall or its dozen-plus Branch Halls; he could not determine whether they had been consumed or transferred elsewhere. 220
- Soul Hall's fearsome reputation was so pervasive that thirty Dou Zuns withdrew from the Heavenly Mansion Alliance recruitment rather than risk opposing it. 213
- Bone Nether used Golden Peng Saint's shattered personal sword as a public warning to factions considering opposition to Soul Hall. 200
