Advancement Requirements

A Martial Dao Master advances to Grandmaster by combining several Mystical Powers into a unique Martial Dao Domain 233. Unlike Dao Foundation cultivation, Grandmasters no longer require Implants after their breakthrough 456.

• Breaking through with three Mystical Powers is a common path, but such Grandmasters generally struggle to progress beyond Peak Stage 439 469.
• Four- or five-Mystical-Power Grandmasters have a better foundation for expanding their Domains and reaching Divine Evolution 469.
• Seven-Mystical-Power Grandmasters are exceptionally rare. Their accumulated foundation allows them to enter Divine Evolution immediately after their breakthrough and advance toward Establish Dao more readily 469.
• The number and quality of Core-Level Extraordinary Abilities developed before becoming a Martial Dao Master affects the depth of Implant fusion and the likelihood of successfully refining Mystical Powers 497.

Martial Dao Domain

A Martial Dao Domain is the defining power of a Grandmaster: a self-contained small world formed from their Mystical Powers 456 473.

• Suppression — A Domain can suppress the Mystical Powers of Martial Dao Masters, creating an overwhelming realm advantage in a one-on-one fight 456 470.
• Limits of suppression — A Grandmaster cannot necessarily suppress several Martial Dao Masters at once when their combined number of Mystical Powers is sufficiently high 456 495.
• Domain clashes — When two Grandmasters’ Domains contend directly, Martial Dao Masters can regain tactical value because neither side can freely suppress the other’s Mystical Powers 498.
• Condensation — Establish Dao Grandmasters can compress their Domains over their bodies, turning what appears to be close-quarters combat into a collision of Domains and Mystical Powers 456.
• Flight — Grandmasters can fly without a flight-type Mystical Power by keeping their Domains semi-contracted and semi-manifested 456 473.

Combat Standing

Grandmasters stand decisively above Martial Dao Masters. Even the weakest three-Mystical-Power Peak Stage Grandmaster is expected to defeat a seven-Mystical-Power Martial Dao Master in a direct confrontation 469.

This advantage is not absolute against coordinated forces:

• Five Martial Dao Masters with more than twenty Mystical Powers between them have historically killed a Peak Stage Grandmaster, though three attackers died and two were severely injured 495.
• Large numbers of lower-realm Martial Warriors and soldiers can exhaust, distract, or support attacks against a Grandmaster, as Grandmasters can still be injured and fatigued 498.
• A Grandmaster’s personal strength is compared to a heavy combined-arms brigade—roughly nine heavy combined-arms battalions—in Li Fei’s internal comparison 404.

Known Practitioners

• Boerhu — A seven-Mystical-Power Grandmaster who reached Divine Evolution upon breakthrough and could rapidly approach Establish Dao 469.
• Qiu Zian — A five-Mystical-Power Grandmaster at the peak of Divine Evolution; her Domain-derived blade force can suppress a Martial Dao Master’s Mystical Powers on contact 456 469.
• Qi Zhou — A three-Mystical-Power Peak Stage Grandmaster whose future advancement is limited by his foundation 469.
• Bai Chen — The Hooking Abyss Sword Master, an Establish Dao Grandmaster who refined three Grandmaster-level clones through the Three-Body Buddha Mystical Power 497 508.
• Li Fei — Broke through through the fusion of seven Mystical Powers from the Martial and Technique Paths, entering Grandmaster at Divine Evolution with the Primal Chaos Sword Realm 522.
