Early career in Datong Prefecture

Hao Yi’s lifelong opposition to injustice began after he heard a kidnapped girl crying for help inside a courtyard and discovered that the Shen Family was holding abducted children there. The incident set him on a path of confronting powerful families and corrupt officials on behalf of ordinary victims. 231

As a young Dao Foundation cultivator, Hao Yi publicly accused corrupt officials in Datong Prefecture. He defeated the fifth-ranked Cloud Splitting Hand Lu Yinjie, then survived an ambush by six Dao Foundation experts—killing four and forcing the remaining two to flee. His record elevated him to first place on the Feng Province Wind and Cloud Rankings. 221

His campaign made enemies throughout Datong Prefecture. After a failed attempt to advance further, most of his five Implants were damaged and his Dao Foundation was believed ruined. Martial Dao Master Shi Caiming protected his life by negotiating an agreement: Hao Yi could never enter Datong Prefecture City again. 227 229

Rebuilding his Martial Path

Rather than accept his decline, Hao Yi used the Refining Mystical Power to preserve his breakthrough opportunity, then adapted Precious Cloud Temple’s Five Phases Reverse Wheel Method to restore his Implants to their initial state. He recultivated from the Embryo Nurturing Stage and ultimately returned to the peak of the Dao Foundation Stage after thirty-seven years. 231 410

Xing City and Li Fei

Hao Yi became a Special Grade Instructor at Xing City Military Academy, where he accepted Li Fei as a student after questioning whether the boy could endure hardship despite his B- physical-fitness score. 4

He personally designed Li Fei’s early cultivation path, teaching him the Heavenly Gang One Qi Stance and Heavenly Gang Overlord Body, securing a Grade Two Superior Steel Armor Implant for him, and preparing him to pursue the difficult Primal Chaos Heavenly Gold foundation. 8 19 20

Hao Yi repeatedly protected Li Fei from external threats. After learning that the Chen Family had arranged an attack on his student, he defeated their retainer Tang Chuan in one move and sent a warning directly to the family. 30

Return to Datong Prefecture and death

When Shangguan Xiao was scheduled for execution, Hao Yi broke his long-standing agreement and returned to Datong Prefecture City to save her. He openly confronted Xu Jing, the Four Symbols Constellation Seal, Dao Foundation experts, and Grand Mages at Rongguang Square. 228 229

He broke through to Martial Dao Master during the battle, wielding the restored Core of Steel and Refining Mystical Power against Xu Jing. To protect Shangguan Xiao and defeat his opponent, he repeatedly exchanged his remaining lifespan for power and life essence. 232 234 235

After rescuing Shangguan Xiao, Hao Yi gave Li Fei the inheritance contained within the transformed Ghost Slayer Blade and spent his final moments with Shangguan Xiao. Both were later cremated and buried together. 235 236
