He's With the Deviants!

He Was on the Deviants' Side!

The whole world was watching New York. Even Iron Man had decided to deploy on an emergency basis.

"Tony Stark, you're not needed here!" General Ross stood in a helicopter, shouting through a loudspeaker.

"Ha, you don't get to tell me what to do. If I were you, after turning a perfectly good Super Soldier Program into this, I'd jump out of the helicopter myself," Tony mocked loudly.

Like a falling meteor, he descended in a blaze of light. Spreading his arms, he aimed at the battling Abomination and Hulk. "Make a wish, gentlemen."

Bang, bang—two energy blasts struck them, accomplishing absolutely nothing. They did not even break through their defenses.

The two giants acted as though they had not seen him at all, roaring as they pounded each other—though neither of them could break the other's defenses either.

"Sir, the strength of their subcutaneous fat is at least three times greater than steel. We need to increase the output power," the loyal butler Jarvis reported.

"And increasing the power will knock these two down? Maybe I can use shoulder-mounted armor-piercing missiles."

"That might break their skin and make them look at us."

"You really are clever. I should upgrade your intelligence program."

Tony flew back and forth between the two monsters, but he could only harass them. He lacked the strength to control the situation.

Mark 3 alone was not enough to handle a battle of this level.

Worse still, Tony detected that Hulk's strength was gradually increasing over time. At first, Abomination had been beating him down, but now Hulk was evenly matched with Abomination.

It was foreseeable that, before long, Hulk would break free of the Suppression Serum's effects. His strength would continue growing until he finally smashed Abomination to pieces.

When that happened, would Hulk, whose strength had skyrocketed, still be able to control his instinctive urge to destroy?

"Hey, vampire, aren't you going to help?" Tony flew over to Blade and shouted.

Blade was quite famous. All sorts of information about him had circulated through the dark web, and Jarvis had long since identified him.

Blade's eyelid twitched. He desperately wanted to stab Tony and test the quality of that armor, but he merely said coldly, "I've already saved more than a dozen people."

"Then what are you waiting for? Or do you keep looking over at that kid with several strange creatures because you're hoping he can turn things around for you?"

Blade glared coldly at Tony. This was the first time he had hated AI so much. If he was not mistaken, Jarvis had already cracked the signals of the satellites constantly monitoring this place from space.

But Tony had one thing right: Blade was very interested in Duva's next move. His instincts told him that Duva was waiting for something to happen—but what exactly?

"Damn it, damn it!!"

At that moment, Abomination was beaten bloody. To his fury and shock, he realized that Hulk had already surpassed his maximum strength!

Did Hulk's strength really have no limit? If I hadn't wasted so much time and energy on those strange creatures, I never could have lost! I just hope Mister Blue is still alive. As long as I inject more Hulk Serum...

Abomination raged helplessly. He had turned himself into neither man nor monster, crazily chasing Hulk's strength just so he could surpass Hulk.

No one could understand the trembling awe and shock he had felt deep in his heart when, as an ordinary man, he first saw Hulk.

Boom! Another punch sent Abomination flying. He climbed back to his feet, overwhelmed by a massive exhaustion—this was terrifying. Why was he feeling tired? The more he fought, the more it felt as though something even more terrifying inside him was draining away his strength!!

Abomination felt every muscle in his body going numb. He knew this could not continue.

Even his internal organs, strengthened countless times over, had lost all sensation. They no longer felt like his own organs. Something horrifying seemed ready to burst out of his chest, and the sensation was utterly terrifying.

"I just need to rest for a while and inject more serum, then I'll surpass Hulk! Once I defeat him, I'll drain every drop of blood from his body and transplant even his spinal cord into myself!"

Extreme worship had given rise to extreme jealousy and possessiveness.

Clutching his chest with both hands, Abomination turned and fled beneath the lights of countless helicopters.

Even his running speed had become incredibly slow, not even half of what it had been at his peak.

If anyone could have observed him up close, they would have seen strange bulges occasionally rising beneath the chest he clutched so tightly, as though something were about to burst out of his body.

"He ran away!"

"This... I still don't understand where those two came from, or why they started fighting."

"Blonsky may have disappointed me beyond measure, but at least he still has a brain!"

Many people were frantically discussing this sudden upheaval.

Hulk hesitated, unsure whether he should pursue, but in the end, he took advantage of the chaos and escaped with several leaps.

Seeing this, General Ross still had not given up. Hulk was too difficult to control, but Blonsky, the soldier he had personally cultivated, could still be saved.

Ross had regarded Blonsky as an important product of the Super Soldier Program. Blonsky had not only become powerful, but had also kept his mind.

At this moment, a civilian helicopter from a New York media outlet broadcasting live seemed to spot something. Its searchlight suddenly shifted, illuminating a figure that had abruptly begun moving.

Though they only caught a blurry glimpse of several silhouettes, it was enough for people to record their appearances with filming equipment.

A person whose back was the only thing visible was rapidly running alongside several oddly shaped creatures, moving at extraordinary speed.

The camera quickly lost them. Amid the complicated, wreckage-strewn streets, they lost Duva's trail.

"Were my eyes playing tricks on me? Did we record that just now?"

A reporter rubbed his eyes, then turned back to look at the footage on the camera.

That segment of footage quickly spread as well, seen by many people waiting in front of their televisions.

Most people did not think much of it. There had already been too many anomalies tonight: a muscle-bound giant, a billionaire in an iron suit—so seeing someone walking strange pets did not seem all that surprising... right?

"Deviants! Those things are Deviants! But didn't we wipe out every Deviant on Earth over five hundred years ago? Why have they appeared again?!"

Sersi, one of the Eternals—the tools created by the Celestials and placed among Earth's special inhabitants—was working as a teacher at a London secondary school. At that moment, she stared at the television in utter shock.

The live footage was dark and blurry, but judging from their shapes alone, those creatures looked far too much like Deviants.

After the eleven Eternals had been sent to Earth by the Celestials, they had spent thousands of years slaughtering Deviants before finally wiping them out. Why were there still living ones? And why were humans on Earth mixed in with them?!

In an instant, Sersi realized the gravity of the situation. Deviants were monsters that fed specifically on intelligent life. If left unchecked, they would only kill more humans.

Of course, Sersi still did not know that the true purpose of these god-made tools was never to protect humanity, but to increase the human population and accelerate the birth of the Celestial sleeping within Earth's core—a god that fed on the energy of human consciousness.

Its birth would come at the cost of Earth's destruction and humanity's extinction.

Sersi began calling for help. The first person she thought of was not their leader, Ajak, but her partner—the Eternals' foremost combatant, Ikaris, who possessed flight, heat vision, a body of steel, and many other abilities!
