Blood Xenomorph

Dennis still hadn't realized that falling into the hands of the person before him would make living far more painful than dying.

"Tell me your account number, and I'll wire you a lot of money!" Dennis failed to understand the terror hidden in Duva's words and merely spoke quickly. "Whatever your purpose is, I can help you. I swear in the name of the Vampire Clan—"

"Enough. Clan or no clan, it's worthless in my eyes."

Duva cut him off. Only after the dust from the battle had settled did he slowly walk over.

Four Courier Xenomorphs against six armed vampires had resulted in only two minor injuries. That exchange rate was barely acceptable, considering Courier Xenomorphs were pitifully weak to begin with.

Courier Xenomorphs were born from parasitizing low-level mammals such as cats, dogs, cattle, and horses. They could move on all fours from birth and spent most of their lives traveling on all fours like their hosts. They occupied the very bottom rung of Xenomorph society.

They had the lowest attack power, though they were somewhat more agile, thanks to their relatively smaller builds—standing around 2.2 meters tall when upright.

Compared to Drone Xenomorphs and Warrior Xenomorphs, which could only use their tails to move right after bursting from the chest and needed several hours to rapidly mature before they could walk upright, Courier Xenomorphs matured much faster.

The only thing worth praising was that Courier Xenomorphs could actively spit blood, an ability Drone Xenomorphs and Warrior Xenomorphs did not possess.

These four Courier Xenomorphs had been born from ordinary lowly animals, so there was no point expecting too much from their raw strength.

Duva glanced at the police officer being devoured from up close.

"If I were you, I'd put him down immediately. Blow his head off."

Duva said, "His body is already full of the Vampire Virus. He'll gradually turn into a vampire. It's best to kill him completely before the transformation."

George still held up his gun. It was the only source of strength he could rely on.

As for the young men beside him? They had long since been scared senseless. This was the first time these young people had come into contact with a dark corner of this world.

"Vampires, vampires... There really are vampires in this world... and these monsters..." a young officer muttered blankly as he stared at the scene before him, then began vomiting.

Those vampires who couldn't even be killed by bullets had all been skewered by the Xenomorphs. Flesh and blood splattered everywhere in a brutal scene.

"Vampires are far from the only thing. This planet is more extraordinary than you can imagine. Whether demons or gods appear, there'd be no reason to be surprised." Duva replied with a smile, every movement casual and natural.

If one ignored the terrifying Xenomorphs constantly clustered around him as though they were surrounding a king, he had the potential to be a warm, considerate man.

"Sir, thank you—for saving our lives, you and your... companions." George suppressed his pounding heart. The experiences of the past few minutes had been far too intense for him. He tried to keep his voice steady, but a faint tremor still slipped through. "I'll handle my colleague carefully."

"Good. It's easier dealing with someone as knowledgeable as you. Officer, what's your name?"

"George Stacy."

Duva stroked his chin. That name, that age... hmm, this seemed to be Gwen's father.

"Sir, I still don't know your name. What are you going to do with these vampires?" George gathered his courage and asked.

A constant drip-drip sound came from the Xenomorphs' bodies. Some of it was vampire blood, and some was their own.

"You'll have a chance to know my name later. In any case, don't come here again. No matter whose orders you received, stay away from this area. The person who gave you that order wanted you dead."

Duva waved a hand casually.

He might not possess top-tier intelligence like Iron Man or Su Rui, but he still had basic deductive ability.

"Chief, this guy keeps strange creatures. Isn't that illegal too—" The officer had finished vomiting, wiped his mouth, glanced at George, and started vomiting again.

"Well said. I like righteous people best. But if you arrest Tony Stark first, I'll believe you."

Duva left, vanishing into the darkness with the Xenomorphs. Only the mess strewn across the ground proved that something extraordinary had just happened here.

George lowered his head to look at his colleague, whose face had been bitten beyond recognition. After a moment of silence, he shot him in the head.

"Chief!"

"Shut up. I know what I'm doing! This won't end here. I'll hold that guy accountable!" George's face was livid, dark as storm clouds. He hated the bastard who had issued their orders, the man who had cost him an excellent young colleague!

Supernatural incidents were never something ordinary people with no preparation whatsoever should have been expected to handle. Even if they really had to deal with one, someone should have told them in advance so they could bring enough manpower and weapons!

"Chief, you said earlier that animal rights activists reported the case."

"I lied to you. If it had only been animal rights activists, the department wouldn't have sent just a few of us."

As for how to officially close this case... they would say the vampires did it. That was right. It was perfectly reasonable for those blood-drinking monsters to capture a bunch of small animals for their blood.

And that stranger who commanded those strange creatures was certainly an individual with supernatural powers as well.

He had even saved several of their lives from the vampires.

To Duva, saving a few police officers along the way had only been a minor interlude. The vampires he had captured were what truly concerned him.

Along the way, he fussed over the vampires' well-being, sincerely afraid that they would die.

This warmth and concern left the dying vampires flattered and bewildered. Seizing the opportunity, one vampire suggested that if the Xenomorphs let them down, they might still be saved.

Duva ignored him and brought them all the way back. Entering the underground cavern, he commanded the Xenomorphs to roughly throw the helpless creatures onto the ground.

Dennis hurriedly looked around and discovered that the place resembled the nest of some underground monster, with strange sticky substances everywhere.

An odd tube ran through the cavern. Beneath it, he saw three bizarre eggs. Whatever was inside them clearly sensed their arrival and immediately became excited.

Though he had only glanced at them once, Dennis instinctively felt a bone-deep chill, as though something terrifying had fixed its eyes on him.

"Six vampires. One at a time."

Duva personally seized a vampire by the throat and pressed him in front of one of the eggs.

In an instant, the egg bloomed open, four "petals" unfolding at its top. Then, a strange creature resembling a giant spider crawled out.

A Facehugger! "Let go of me! What are you trying to do?! Ugh..."

The vampire soon found himself unable to speak. The Facehugger enveloped his entire face, and he felt some unknown substance being injected into his body. Before long, his consciousness grew hazy, and he gradually drifted off to sleep.

"W-What is it doing?" Dennis stared in bewilderment. It was clearly something terrifying, but he simply couldn't make sense of it.

"You'll find out soon enough."

Duva maintained a close awareness of his connection with the Facehugger. Once he confirmed that the parasitism had succeeded, he was overjoyed.

This success carried extraordinary significance. It was the first time a Facehugger had successfully parasitized a special host.

All that remained was to wait patiently.

Duva was an exceptionally patient person, much like the Xenomorphs. To secure a chance at a single fatal strike, he could lie in wait for an extremely long time, as still as a corpse.

At last, when the vampire woke again, he looked utterly confused. Shaking his head, he easily flung away the Facehugger's corpse that covered his face.

"What did you do to me? Why is this thing dead?"

"Vampire, you should pay with your life for every human you killed. Still, it is gratifying that you have offered me your strong body. I will put it to good use."

Under the watchful gaze of countless blood-red eyes, Duva raised his hand and extended a finger, pointing at the vampire from afar.

Then, something happened that terrified all the other vampires.

A grotesque bulge appeared in the vampire's chest. Before anyone could react, a horrifying thing burst from his body, violently tearing open his chest and drilling out amid a shower of blood and flesh!

The despairing wails were like a pleasing symphony, while the violent convulsions were the most praiseworthy dance.

A brand-new Xenomorph, having parasitized a vampire and seized the finest of the vampire's genes, was born. It let out its first shrill cry at the world, proclaiming the formal arrival of an entirely new Supernatural System with limitless potential.
