Long Live Peace. It seemed there had been some miscommunication between him and Blade.

According to Duva's plan, they were supposed to capture people secretly. But in Blade's view, why bother capturing anyone? Just make the vampires come over themselves, and leave the rest to Duva.

"Six. That'll do."

Duva counted them. Fine. With the power he had now, dealing with these six was more than easy.

Seeing this harmless-looking young man, George panicked and shouted, "Run! These guys are dangerous!"

"I know, I know." Duva spoke softly, acting as though he had not noticed the bloody scene on the ground at all.

That made sense. It was nighttime, and they were a hundred meters apart.

One vampire raised his head, licked the blood from his mouth, and charged at him excitedly.

Dennis sensed something was wrong, but he said nothing, simply watching with his powerful vision.

If nothing unexpected happened, this human would soon be pinned to the ground by the vampire and have his neck bitten through—vampires possessed absolute strength and speed far beyond that of ordinary people.

George's expression changed drastically. He wanted to save the young man's life. He knew all too well what vampires were like, but at this distance, it seemed too late.

The attacking vampire was just about to bite Duva's neck.

At that instant.

Whoosh! A tail gleaming with silver suddenly shot out from the darkness, stabbing past Duva's shoulder. It was soundless, yet brimming with icy killing intent, aimed precisely at the incoming vampire's face.

"The chest."

Duva gave the command in time. The tip of the tail dipped slightly and pierced straight through the vampire's chest, skewering his entire body like a candied hawthorn and lifting him high into the air.

A shrill scream rang out. His vigorous vitality kept the vampire from dying on the spot, but his terror was mixed with disbelief.

What was this thing?!

Click, click!

A series of faint movements sounded.

Then several ghostlike figures darted through the darkness, spreading out around them and encircling the vampires at close range.

Dennis frowned slightly as he stared at these strange creatures.

"Four... What kind of creatures are these?" Dennis looked surprised.

So this was the place. A police officer who had somehow arrived here, a strange human, and strange creatures in tow.

Dennis thought of that special blood and used his powerful night vision to study the Xenomorphs.

On closer inspection, their overall appearances followed the same style, though there were subtle differences. Some were slightly sturdier, while others had slender bodies but greater speed and agility.

The only thing they had in common was that all four Xenomorphs moved on all fours... Yet Dennis had a strange feeling, as though animals with different body structures had put on identical disguises and crouched before him.

George and the others were dumbfounded as well, their mouths hanging open. The scene before them had completely surpassed their expectations.

"You know Blade? So you're the one who supplied him with those strange weapons." Dennis spoke.

At this distance, with that tone of voice, both sides could still hear each other clearly.

"That's right. There was just a tiny deviation in the plan. Killing you might correct it a little."

As Duva spoke, his eyes remained fixed on the vampire skewered by the Xenomorph's tail.

Luckily, there was only a hole in his chest. He would not die. If they brought him back in time, he could still be saved.

"The liquid you gave Blade was blood too, wasn't it? Where did it come from? Don't tell me you made it yourself, unless..." Dennis's eyes repeatedly examined the Xenomorphs.

It sounded absurd, but after ruling out every possibility, perhaps it had something to do with these strange yet powerful creatures.

The fact that a single tail could effortlessly skewer a strong vampire already proved that these creatures possessed extraordinary strength.

"Attack." Duva gave the command first.

The other three Xenomorphs sprang into action, lunging at the enemies first. The Xenomorph beside Duva immediately joined the fight as well.

The vampires instantly drew their pistols and opened fire on the Xenomorphs.

They were smart. Their initial assessment was that the Xenomorphs specialized in close combat, so they would settle things with guns.

Bang! Bang! Bang! Minor wounds began appearing on the Xenomorphs' bodies, but they continued attacking as though they felt no pain. Once they drew close, blood began dripping from their wounds. It splashed onto the vampires, hissing as it did.

"!!"

"My foot's been eaten through!"

"Watch out! These things' blood is highly corrosive, just like the weapon Blade uses. It can easily corrode even steel! But it's never been this powerful before..."

Now, the truth was fully revealed. Yet because they had already suspected it, the vampires were even more shocked.

How could something so bizarre exist in this world? Even the blood it spilled after being wounded could inflict such devastating damage on enemies? No—being able to carry such corrosive blood inside its body was absurd in itself.

These creatures were practically weapons born for battle!

Intense gunfire rang out in succession. A few vampires, their ferocity aroused, abandoned their guns and charged in for close combat, but they quickly realized that was a mistake.

The moment one rushed in at close range, a Xenomorph opened its mouth and deliberately spat out a mouthful of blood.

That single attack rendered one vampire incapable of fighting.

One vampire after another fell, yet for some reason, though wounded, they did not die. Their limbs were brutally torn off by the Xenomorphs, leaving them sprawled on the ground in agonized howls.

The more desperately they fought, the more wounds they inflicted on the Xenomorphs, the more blood splashed onto them—and the greater the price they paid.

Even Dennis was stunned. The Xenomorphs' combat prowess had truly shocked him. They were disciplined, as though they had rehearsed countless times. Without making any sounds or communicating through gestures, they still executed flawless tactics. Their individual combat ability was also extremely troublesome, and they feared neither injury nor death.

No—or rather, under the premise that bleeding could also harm the enemy, their own injuries and deaths had already become one of the combat methods these creatures could exploit.

"Enough, stop! I'm here to negotiate!"

Dennis knocked back a Xenomorph. Seeing his subordinates fall one after another, he could not help shouting loudly. He swung his arm hard, but he was actually aiming in Duva's direction, and immediately fired.

His aim was precise.

Yet Duva merely shifted slightly to the side and precisely dodged the bullet.

Dennis's expression changed. He fired repeatedly, but with his marksmanship, not a single shot hit the target! This could not be explained by mere luck. It meant the other party's physical abilities surpassed those of an ordinary human, possessing at least extraordinary perception.

Dennis was immediately pounced on by a Xenomorph, his body heavily corroded, leaving him able to do nothing but scream miserably.

He regretted it beyond measure, feeling that he had been too arrogant. He should have called more people.

But even if he had brought more men, against such agile opponents, it seemed difficult to stop them from escaping.

More importantly, Dennis had found the entire situation utterly baffling from start to finish. Heaven knew, he did not even know who his opponent was or where he came from!

"Six vampires. Really excellent."

Only then did Duva walk over, completely unscathed, looking approvingly at the six wounded yet undying figures before him.

"You're not killing us because you want to negotiate with me? Go on, what do you want? Money? Or status and power?" Seeing that none of his men had died, Dennis secretly breathed a sigh of relief.

As long as there was room to talk, there was a chance to survive. Then he could consider how to take revenge.

"Neither. I need you to stay alive for the next few hours. I can hardly wait to verify something crucial using you creatures who can only survive by drinking human blood."

There was an inexplicable desire for exploration in Duva's voice, like the whisper of a devil.
