The Xenomorphs were even more useful than expected, or so the Ancient One believed.

At the very least, they could transmit messages in an instant. As long as someone carried a Xenomorph within their body, Duva could sense them in real time, communicate with them remotely, and control them. That was astonishing enough.

If one had to pick flaws in an egg, perhaps it was that Xenomorphs still had no way to communicate directly with one another across ultra-long distances.

"So this is the Sanctum Sanctorum? It looks like a great deal of powerful magic has been arranged here." Druig scrutinized everything around him with a critical eye, but even he had to admit that this place was rather terrifying. Every building was covered in powerful Magic Arrays.

It was hard to imagine just how incredible the defensive system would be if all those Magic Arrays could be activated at once.

Of course, the person capable of controlling every Magic Array at the same time was equally important. That responsibility fell to the Ancient One.

"This is not some isolated place. If you want to come here and learn magic, we would be very happy to welcome you," the Ancient One said.

Almost every year, mages who were neither outstanding nor completely incompetent left Kamar-Taj and returned to the mundane world.

But that had its drawbacks. Some of those mages had been tempted away by Dormammu and Kaecilius.

"Magic? I have no intention of learning something like that."

Druig shook his head. "Don't think I can't tell. That Black Magic User called Kaecilius was in terrible condition just now. If he had been at his peak, it would not have been easy to stop him. Otherwise, you would not have chased him for so many years without killing him."
