Su Yao escaped the experimental base and evaded repeated attempts to capture him while unlocking and training new abilities. After attracting the attention of the Underground Organization, Professor X, and Magneto, he met Wolverine Luo Gen just as government forces surrounded the bar.

• Su Yao woke imprisoned at Experiment Base Number 23, discovered that sunlight restored his energy, and began unlocking Orochi’s abilities through Mimicry.
• Su Yao destroyed his Mutant Controller, killed Jill and two researchers, and escaped the base using Space Teleportation before fleeing gunfire in a stolen car.
• Chris sheltered Su Yao, but FBI agents and police soon tracked him down, leading Su Yao to fight Captain George’s squad and escape after a sniper joined the pursuit.
• Alessandro ordered Kenny and George to organize a larger capture operation, while Professor X and Magneto separately began searching for Su Yao.
• Su Yao met Mark, Kirill, and Heidi, then disintegrated Kalpana and four members of the Mutant Underground Organization with his newly unlocked Sunshine Pervades ability.

Su Yao joined forces with Venom while training his abilities and becoming entangled in the Life Foundation’s plans. When the Experimental Base’s hunters finally cornered him, he unleashed Sunshine Pervades and erased their forces, then resolved to grow stronger before confronting the base.

• Captain George’s soldiers attacked Su Yao and the mutants at the bar, but Su Yao’s powers let him escape and reunite with Luo Gen’s group.
• Su Yao trained Sunshine Pervades, raised his Unlock Progress, and fought Inger, Marco, and Kuerban after they confronted him over Kalpana’s death.
• Venom bonded with Su Yao’s right arm, and Su Yao learned that sunlight changed the symbiote before heading toward the Life Foundation.
• Su Yao overwhelmed Tris’s guards, while Eddie Brock and Venom fought the Life Foundation and set out to stop Drake’s rocket.
• Su Yao improved Black Particle and Reflection Shield as Marco freed Number One and Number Five and recruited Hound to track him.
• Luo Gen and his allies went looking for Su Yao, while Professor X sent Cyclops Scott and Magneto asked Mystique Raven to watch for signs of the hunt.

Su Yao survived escalating government attacks and faced the Sentinel Robots as Jean became consumed by the Phoenix Force. Their battle devastated a city, and Su Yao reached 100% Unlock Progress before vanishing into a forest, leaving several factions searching for him.

• Mystique Raven infiltrated Number Twenty-Three Base, questioned Hai Luo about Su Yao's light, then escaped and told Jean, Scott, and Ao Luo Luo that Su Yao was safe.
• Su Yao trained his abilities, unlocked Levitation Flight, and killed mercenaries sent after him by the Underground Organization.
• Henrik and Alessandro led more than a hundred soldiers against Su Yao, but Su Yao's light killed Henrik and the forces within its range.
• After the government concealed the failed operation, Su Yao witnessed the Phoenix Force enter Jean, while Debari survivors infiltrated Earth to pursue it.
• Jean joined Margaret and the Debari People as she rejected the X-Men's attempts to control her, while Bolivar Doctor and Alessandro prepared Sentinel Robots to capture Su Yao.
• The Sentinel Robots attacked Su Yao, and Jean's Phoenix power overwhelmed the X-Men until Magneto Erik confronted her and Su Yao arrived.
• Jean began disintegrating Su Yao, but his power surged out of control, destroying the city as he battled Black Phoenix Jean.

Su Yao fused universes, restored and expanded his powers, and drew the attention of S.H.I.E.L.D., Hydra, the X-Men, and Asgard. After helping Thor defeat the Destroyer, Su Yao became the target of a planned assassination as Experiment Base Number 23 prepared to test a new mutant ability against Number Thirty-Seven.

• Kaecilius contacted Su Yao, who promised to help resurrect his family if he stole the Cosmic Cube and used it in a ritual.
• Kaecilius stole the Cosmic Cube, and Su Yao used it, Scarlet Witch’s probability-modifying power, and a ritual to fuse the universes, restoring three abilities before Ancient One took the Cube.
• Su Yao sent Kaecilius to steal S.H.I.E.L.D. Energy Guns, absorbed their energy, unlocked Chaos Magic, and raised its level through training.
• Su Yao rescued Blink and two other mutants from police, then defeated ten Sentinel Robots sent to capture him and flew away.
• Su Yao unlocked God Race Body, lifted Mjolnir, gained Thor’s armor and lightning, and later returned the hammer to Thor when the Destroyer attacked.
• Thor regained his power and destroyed the Destroyer, while Su Yao blocked its attacks with Chaos Magic and escaped before Thor could learn who he was.
• Loki killed Laufey, fought Thor on the Bifrost, and vanished into the cosmic abyss after Thor destroyed it to save Jotunheim.
