So when these plagues splashed across Raymond's expanded mechanical Death Star body, vast stretches of metal and composite materials immediately became rusted. Some even suffered widespread decay and aging, eventually crumbling into slag-like debris that scattered into the surrounding environment.

And once such a condition appeared somewhere, it spread at astonishing speed, just as people infected by a plague could infect one another.

Raymond himself had no particularly good solution. He could only use Phyrexian Oil to frantically absorb matter and energy from the Garden of Nurgle, replacing the corroded portions of his body.

Just as expected, this decisive battle against Nurgle ultimately turned into a war of attrition and a tug-of-war.
