Background / History
Alena is a unique Follower summon rather than an ordinary summoned creature. Followers retain their memories, desires, preferences, and capacity to learn; they cannot openly defy their master, but may interpret or twist commands. Their loyalty must be earned through favor rather than assumed obedience. 85
Zuo Si summoned Alena by spending ten generic mana. She immediately assessed him, asked for money to buy alcohol, and established herself as an independent-minded follower rather than a compliant servant. After receiving 100 gold coins, she bought Dragon’s Drunkenness, drank it in one gulp, and breathed fire in the inn’s lobby. 95
Her first day under Zuo Si’s command ended in a destructive bar brawl alongside Ritter. Alena set the inn kitchen on fire, and Zuo Si punished her by forbidding alcohol until she could demonstrate restraint. 97 98
Soon afterward, she protected Zuo Si’s Magic Ritual by annihilating an adventuring party that had provoked her. Although a Cleric’s Sonic Boom left her with ruptured eardrums and internal injuries, she continued fighting until every enemy was dead; Zuo Si then restored her with Healing Hand. The spell triggered a vague memory of having been healed by someone in the past, though she could not identify that person. 100 101
During later travels, Alena served as one of Zuo Si’s principal offensive spellcasters. She assisted against the Mummy Lord, burned Mook’s Three-Eyed Demon Spider guardian, and supported Zuo Si in the desert ambush by striking the enemy spellcaster with lightning. 110 120 129
While Zuo Si was absent from Athkatla, Alena hunted monsters and criminals with Ritter and Korgan, helped eliminate pirates holding Bernard’s guild members hostage, and advanced from Sorcerer Lv. 8 to Lv. 10. 212
Appearance
Alena appears to be a woman in her mid-to-late twenties, emerging from flame in a predominantly red appearance. Her beauty and Sorcerer bloodline give her an unusually forceful, attention-grabbing presence. 95 101
- Long, fiery red hair; her hair and pupils are both red. 95 161
- Sharp features and a proud, arrogant expression. 95
- Usually wears an oversized fiery-red robe. 95
- Possesses a striking figure and natural magical charisma that frequently attracts unwanted attention. 95 101
- Her hair rises in the heat of battle, giving her the appearance of an “invincible queen.” 100
Personality
Alena is impulsive, willful, and pleasure-seeking. Zuo Si identifies her as Chaotic Neutral: she does not feel obligated to help others or deliberately torment them, but constantly seeks excitement and acts according to her own desires. 99
Alcohol is her most obvious weakness and favorite indulgence. She insists that strong liquor does not impair her casting and can instead enhance the potency of her fire magic. 95 Her drinking, gambling, and tendency to react violently to provocation made her notorious in Athkatla; she reportedly participated in at least twenty bar brawls, and several establishments banned her entry. 179 270
In combat, Alena is aggressive and fearless to a dangerous degree. She does not retreat when injured, instead becoming more ferocious under pressure. Her approach favors relentless destructive force over careful counterspells or intricate planning. 100
Despite her volatility, she can accept punishment when she admits fault and generally does not attack without cause unless provoked. 98 161
