Beneath that relaxed manner, he is deeply affected by the loss of his comrades. Discussing Obito at the Memorial Monument makes him withdraw, while memories of Obito’s Sharingan awakening and his own killing of Rin shape his reluctance to encourage Sasuke’s eye development.
