Background / History
Origin and the Immortal Cultivation Simulator
Gu Han awakens as a twelve-year-old collateral descendant of a prominent Yue Kingdom family. The original body's family had been destroyed after a direct descendant offended an Immortal, leaving Gu Han conscripted into a Suicide Squad. He discovers the Immortal Cultivation Simulator, which can create new identities in other worlds and provides the System Skill Insight. 1 5
Treasure Pearl Temple and the Great Yan life
In a simulated Great Yan Kingdom life, Gu Han becomes the twelve-year-old Treasure Pearl Temple novice Jingming. He trains in Arhat Hall, befriends Jingyuan of Prajna Hall, and rapidly surpasses his peers through relentless cultivation and the combination of martial arts from different worlds. 3 6 16
His poor physical aptitude leaves him stalled below Blood Tempering and Organ Refining for years, but he persists through fourteen years of seclusion until he breaks through. During this period, he also raises the Seventy-Two Demon Subduing Palms and Moon Chasing Steps to their highest levels. 18
After Treasure Pearl Temple is destroyed by barbarians, Gu Han protects its surviving monks. Jingyuan later dies from mortal wounds, and Gu Han promises to avenge him and find his parents. He kills Flame Tribe leader Salachi, fights Barbarian King A Yanda, and eventually becomes powerful enough to establish the Martial Lecture Hall under Prince Liu. 27 29 32 40
Gu Han takes Ran Min—Jingyuan's relatives' grandson—as his disciple and trains him in martial arts. He later develops Half Spiritual Power, becomes a leading figure of the region, and receives a perfect simulator evaluation for changing the Heavenly Azure Realm's future. 41 44 48
Zhou Yi and the rise of the Zhou Family
Under the identity Zhou Yi, Gu Han is born into the Zhou Family's direct line in Great Chu. A severe qi deviation destroys his inner strength, but he rebuilds his foundation with the Dragon Tiger Marrow Cleansing Fist, rare resources from his family, and the talents acquired from Ran Min. 53 56 59
He recruits Teng Qingshan into the Zhou Manor's Innate Camp, defeats challengers such as Liang Leiyang and Yan Chihuo, and becomes Huayang Dao's Military Commander. When the Seven Major Powers conspire to assassinate him, Gu Han survives, executes their leaders, and uses the Huayang army to eradicate their influence. 63 77 90 95
After obtaining the Tongtian Hall inheritance, Gu Han gains access to immortal cultivation methods and rises from an Innate master to a peak Sixth Heaven Spirit Gathering cultivator over three centuries. He aids the Zhou Family's growth until it succeeds the Yun Family as rulers of Great Chu. 124 147
Near the end of that life, Gu Han uses the Hibernating Dragon Concealment Method to preserve his cultivation's protective influence for the Zhou Family after his death. The completed simulation is rated Excellent by the system. 148 149
Lin Feng and later cultivation
In a later life, Gu Han possesses Lin Feng's body and re-enters cultivation from Qi Induction. He becomes an Immortal Seedling of Azure Cloud Immortal Manor, establishes White Jade Tower on Feiyun Peak, and advances in alchemy and formation mastery. 154 156 157
After joining the Wang Family's Na Xian Pavilion as the disguised Alchemist Tianfeng, he spends two years repeatedly merging and deducing a demonic cultivation method. The process severely drains his cultivation several times, but ultimately allows him to return to the peak Ninth Level of Spirit Absorption. 170 172
Appearance
Gu Han's appearance varies substantially between simulated identities, disguises, and later-life bodies.
- In his Great Yan life, he is described as a handsome and masculine young man. 38
- A Human Skin Mask can alter him into an ordinary youth with a long scar across his face. 38
- After centuries as Zhou Yi, he appears as a silver-haired old man with a powerful aura. 147
- As Alchemist Tianfeng, he conceals his youthful appearance beneath an aged, white-haired disguise created with Myriad Flesh Manifestations. 172
Personality
Gu Han adapts quickly to hostile circumstances. Though initially shocked by the world's brutality, he accepts that strength is necessary for survival and treats each simulated life as an opportunity to acquire the means to endure. He is calculating enough to conceal his true strength, use aliases, and exploit the simulator's separation between simulated and real-world consequences. 1 9 120 128
His defining trait is persistence. He endures years of failed breakthroughs caused by poor aptitude, repeatedly rebuilds his cultivation after setbacks, and performs dangerous method deductions even when they reduce him to an ordinary mortal. 16 18 56 170
Gu Han is protective of those he accepts as his own, particularly Jingyuan, Ran Min, Teng Qingshan, and the Zhou Family. However, he is not conventionally merciful: he executes enemies who threaten him, dismantles hostile powers, and considers strength the ultimate basis of authority. 29 90 93 148
