Blue Pegasus

After waving goodbye to Harry, Yahar, and the others, Allen and Laxus turned and left the Town of Almond, whose name they had only just learned.

Originally, the two had planned to cross Mount Hakobe. However, this sudden incident had disrupted their journey, forcing them to descend from the middle section of Mount Hakobe.

But since they had already reached the foot of the mountain, there was no need to continue climbing. Allen pulled the map, which detailed the terrain and geographical features, from his robes and began examining it carefully.

Soon, Allen discovered that Ashkenna lay ahead and was the city where Blue Pegasus was based. Moreover, Blue Pegasus's guild master, Bob, had an excellent relationship with old man Makarov. For both personal and practical reasons, Allen felt they had to visit Ashkenna.

Having made up his mind, Allen turned to Laxus beside him. "Let's go. We'll visit the old man's good friend in Ashkenna first, and ask Guild Master Bob whether he has any information about the Dark Magic Group and Serpent's Lair."

Laxus had no objections. Just like that, the two changed direction without hesitation and headed toward Ashkenna.

Along the way, Laxus couldn't help feeling a little excited. "Big brother, do you think Blue Pegasus's mages will be stronger than the mages from the two guilds we encountered before?"

Allen shook his head. "I don't know either. All I know right now is that Guild Master Bob is the old man's good friend. We'll have to see for ourselves who's in their guild."

The two left the Town of Almond in the morning and rested briefly along the way. It was not until evening that they finally saw Ashkenna's city gates.

When they reached the gates, the guards gave them a brief inspection before allowing them into the city.

The moment they entered Ashkenna, Allen asked a nearby shopkeeper where Blue Pegasus was located. Since Blue Pegasus was so famous in Ashkenna, the two quickly learned its location.

The two followed the streets forward. Before long, a somewhat gaudy building came into view.

Looking up, they could clearly see the iconic Blue Pegasus crest above the entrance, shining with a distinctive glow. Like the other guilds, the first floor was also a lively bar where mages drank, amused themselves, and exchanged information. Allen led Laxus straight through the doors of Blue Pegasus.

As soon as they entered, a guild member at the door noticed the two visitors and came forward to ask their business. Upon learning that they were from Fairy Tail and had come to find their guild master, the member immediately and enthusiastically led them toward Bob, who was sitting beside the bar.

In fact, Bob had noticed them the moment they stepped into the guild. There was no other reason than that Makarov often used a Communication Crystal to chatter endlessly about how outstanding and capable his two grandsons were. With their names mentioned so frequently, it would have been difficult not to form some impression of them.

When the two arrived in front of Bob, Allen stopped, bowed slightly, and greeted him respectfully together with Laxus. "Guild Master Bob, greetings! We're Allen and Laxus, brothers from Fairy Tail. We came mainly to convey Grandpa Makarov's regards, and also to ask you for some information."

Bob was not tall—in fact, he could even be called a little short. His bald head shimmered faintly beneath the lights, while his round face always wore a warm smile that made people feel as though they were basking in a spring breeze. Upon hearing Allen's greeting, his already narrowed eyes crinkled until they were nearly invisible. He nodded cheerfully, his gaze sweeping back and forth between Allen and Laxus, then said amiably, "Hahaha, that old Makarov talks about how outstanding and exceptional you two are all the time! He got me intensely interested in you long ago! Come on, don't hide those faces any longer. Remove the magic from your faces and let me take a good look at your handsome little faces."

Allen couldn't help freezing when he heard that. He instinctively exchanged a glance with Laxus beside him. Clearly, neither of them had expected Bob to be so interested in their appearances. However, after thinking it over, Allen suddenly recalled that in the future, every member of Blue Pegasus except Ichiya would be a handsome man. Could it be... that Guild Master Bob had some sort of unusual collecting habit? Allen couldn't help muttering to himself, but he quickly regained his composure on the surface and dispelled the magic covering his face as Bob had requested.

Two exceptionally refined faces were then revealed clearly before Bob. His eyes, which had been half narrowed, suddenly flew wide open, shining like two brilliant jewels, and dazzling light erupted from them.

He praised them involuntarily. "Oh my, what astonishingly handsome faces! Handsome young men, why not consider joining Blue Pegasus? As long as you agree, you'll definitely become the pillars of our guild!"

Allen and Laxus felt every hair on their bodies stand on end, as if they had been shocked by electricity. They frantically waved their hands and hurriedly said, "No, no, no! We're truly grateful for your kindness, Guild Master Bob, but we're quite happy at Fairy Tail. Besides, we really can't bear to leave Grandpa Makarov."

Seeing how desperately the two rejected him, Bob's face gained a hint of mischievous amusement, and he burst into loud laughter. "Hahahaha! Don't be nervous. I was only joking with you. After all, with that ill-tempered old Makarov around, even if you gave me ten times the courage, I wouldn't dare poach you or ask you to join Blue Pegasus. Otherwise, with his fiery temper, he'd charge over without hesitation and tear my guild apart. To be honest, I'm simply envious that he has two outstanding young talents like you."

"Not at all. Under Guild Master Bob's leadership, Blue Pegasus is also full of talented people. They'll be fine once they grow up."

Allen could only echo Bob's words. An old man with such a mischievous personality was truly not someone Allen could easily handle.

Seeing Allen and Laxus grow increasingly awkward, Bob decided to stop teasing them. He resumed his earlier smile, looked at the two of them, and asked, "What did you want to know from me?"
