Watching the ordinary people fleeing in all directions around Coral Port and the mages doing their best to resist the Kraken, Laxus paid little attention to Gildarts's teasing. The moment he had first seen the Kraken's massive body, his immediate reaction had actually been fear. He couldn't accept that he was feeling afraid, so he prepared to face his fear head-on.
Since the Kraken was still wantonly destroying Coral Port and paying little attention to the two people in the air, Laxus had plenty of time to gather his strength.
Laxus took a deep breath and concentrated his magic power in his lungs. Only when he was nearly unable to control it did he launch his attack at the Kraken.
"Roar of the Thunder Dragon!"
Once the Roar of the Thunder Dragon burst from Laxus's mouth, the massive amount of magic power caused it to take the form of a thunder dragon. It seemed almost real as it let out a tremendous roar in midair.
With such an enormous display, even the Kraken, whose perception was somewhat dull, couldn't ignore it. It looked around in confusion, trying to find the source of the powerful attack. However, before it could see what was happening, the Roar of the Thunder Dragon struck the top of its head with lightning speed.
With a deafening boom, an earth-shaking explosion suddenly erupted above the Kraken's head. The heavily injured Kraken immediately let out a heart-rending howl. Its voice echoed throughout Coral Port, making some of the people still fleeing turn back to look. Then, enraged, the Kraken completely entered a berserk state.
