Alex understood what Victor meant. The great nobles Victor referred to were the marquises and above in the Vela Region. Put plainly, there were only five: the Iron Birch Family, Golden Sunflower Family, Iron Vine Family, Great Oak Family, and Dragonblood Vine Family!
Moreover, these families were all very close. Marquis Lawrence of the Iron Vine Family was Alex's father-in-law; Brando, the acting marquis of the Great Oak Family, was Victor's godson; and Marquis Edmund of the Dragonblood Vine Family was also a close personal friend of them both.
