Since receiving news that the Barbarian Tribal Grand Alliance was preparing to move troops, Two Rivers Territory had entered the mobilization phase. Victor ordered the two hundred-man units of the Horseshoe Tribe to each lead 300 able-bodied men in fan-shaped patrols along the border. He also relocated all Horseshoe Tribe members to Pasture Village as an added safeguard.
James's Green Valley Territory lay west of Two Rivers Territory, on the south bank of the Great Fish River. It had only just completed construction of its castle and residential district with help from the Two Rivers Territory engineering corps. It currently had only 2,000 serfs and 400 soldiers, more than half of whom were still employed in service by Two Rivers Territory. Victor simply had James move all his personnel and supplies to Wood Fort Town, and James agreed.
The territory currently lacked no supplies. Its main food stores, certain important consumable materials, and weapons and equipment had all been stockpiled in Wood Fort Town.
Wood Fort Town's defensive facilities were extremely complete, and the riverside fort on the north bank of the Great Fish River had also been put into operation. Victor arranged for the inland fleet and part of the auxiliary troops to be stationed there.
Since last winter, Victor had addressed the shortage of auxiliary troops in Two Rivers Territory by strengthening their training and organization.
Now, the auxiliary troops throughout Two Rivers Territory had basically taken shape. They had all completed formation drills and basic tactical training. Though they could not fight independently, they could carry out many defensive duties alongside regular troops.
The Two Rivers Territory Regiment had now basically completed its professionalization. Aside from the logistics detachment, the original four detachments no longer had second-line auxiliary troops. They had essentially all become fully professional forces,
