"This is Beckman's military port district. It was originally closed to the public, and dedicated patrol boats guard the surrounding dock areas.

"But all of you are the Kingdom's elite. The Kingdom Navy is willing to open the military port to you, and the provincial governor and the Kingdom Navy's senior officers are waiting in the dock area to welcome you!"

Edmund's voice was filled with excitement, his tone rising high as he displayed the importance the Kingdom Navy placed on receiving them. The great nobles of Vela present were also greatly pleased by the Kingdom's courtesy.

Sure enough, as the ship approached the pier, everyone saw soldiers standing in neat formation along it. The surrounding docks were packed with warships similar to the Lombardy they had arrived on. It truly was a heavily defended military port.

Bang!

With a soft impact, the ship's side bumped against the pier, signaling that it had finally entered its berth.

Soon, a group of servants arrived on the dock, carrying a huge wooden ramp and setting it between the pier and the ship's side, connecting the two. A red carpet had been laid over the ramp, while naval soldiers in white ceremonial uniforms swiftly lined up on both sides of the pier. The scene was quite grand.

Edmund walked up to Alex. "Your Grace, please lead everyone ashore."

Alex nodded and called to the others before taking the lead down the ship. The moment he stepped onto the ramp, music suddenly began to play. Everyone saw a band performing on a nearby dock, its melody graceful and festive.

The nobles from Vela looked at one another, all finding the scene strangely familiar. Alex turned to Victor. This was no different from how Victor had welcomed them at the docks outside Silver Maple City.
