Cangyuan joined Tongtian’s Jie Sect, gathered treasures and allies, and discovered a way to shelter humans from the calamity he learned was coming. After moving the Taixu Tribe into his protected Human World, he persuaded the Three Human Ancestors to consider relocating the Human Race and was asked to become their Fourth Ancestor.

• Lin Cang transformed into Cangyuan, opened the Cangyuan Realm, and befriended the World Purifying White Lotus before traveling to Jin'ao Island to seek Tongtian.
• Cangyuan joined the Jie Sect as Tongtian’s Fifth Outer Disciple, received the Twenty-Four Sea Calming Pearls, and advanced to Early Grand Unity Golden Immortal by opening twenty-five Lesser Thousand Worlds.
• Cangyuan helped the World Purifying White Lotus prepare for Form Transformation, presented her to Tongtian, and received new treasures and one hundred strands of Innate Undying Spiritual Light.
• Cangyuan and Bixiao explored Penglai Island, claimed its treasures, and left with Green Phoenix as Bixiao’s mount after driving off a Black Dragon and his followers.
• Cangyuan traveled to the Taixu Tribe, killed a demon threatening its people, recovered the twenty-sixth Sea Calming Pearl from a child’s jade, and killed the Pelican Ancestor when he attacked the tribe.
• Cangyuan received the Sky-Covering Array and transferred the Taixu Tribe into a protected Lesser Thousand World that he named the Human World.
• Cangyuan accepted the Six-Eared Macaque as his disciple, brought Taixu Yunhai to Mount Buzhou, and met the Three Human Ancestors at the Ancestral Land of Humanity.
• Cangyuan showed the Three Human Ancestors the thriving Taixu Tribe, warned them that Heaven’s collapse and a resentment-forged Spiritual Treasure threatened the Human Race, and heard Suiren Shi propose that he become the Fourth Ancestor of Humanity.

Cangyuan moved the Human Race to safety, created and spread Martial Dao, and advanced to Great Luo while pursuing the Law Path. He allied with Houtu to establish Reincarnation in one of his worlds and arrived with her at Pangu Hall, where an Ancestral Witch questioned who he was.

• Cangyuan helped the Three Human Ancestors relocate the Human Race into the Human World, then returned to Jie Sect and reunited Old Ancestor Hongyun with Sect Master Tongtian.
• Cangyuan escorted Hongyun to Wuzhuang Temple, where he urged Zhenyuanzi to use the Book of Earth to form the Great Array of Moral Coercion and became sworn brothers with him.
• The ten Golden Crow Princes appeared, and the Witch and Demon races clashed in formations until Dao Ancestor Hongjun intervened and ordered a hundred Yuanhui of peace.
• Cangyuan created Martial Dao, preached it to a million humans, and was hailed as the Martial Ancestor before attaining Great Luo Golden Immortal through the Law of Creation.
• Dijun approved Kunpeng's plan to forge the Witch-Slaying Sword from Human Race souls, but the Demon Race found the ancestral lands abandoned and began searching for humans.
• Cangyuan defeated Jin Ling in a spar, gave her the Geng Metal Mother Tree, and later traveled the world to gather five Sea Calming Pearls.
• Cangyuan met Houtu and explained that she was destined to establish Reincarnation, then offered her one of his worlds to house it while preserving her Ancestral Witch body.
• Houtu allied with Cangyuan, who gave her a Middle Thousand World for Reincarnation and received Tongtian Jianmu, and she then brought him to Pangu Hall, where an Ancestral Witch challenged his identity.

Cangyuan helped Houtu establish the Netherworld, rescued the captive Human Race, and prepared for the conflict between the Witch and Demon Races. As the final war began, he planned to take Hetu Luoshu from Kunpeng with Yunxiao and Zhao Gongming’s help.

• Cangyuan studied the Ancestral Witches’ Laws, sparred with Kuafu, and developed his Martial Dao before agreeing to accompany Houtu to open reincarnation.
• Houtu attained the Dao and established the Netherworld, while Cangyuan became Nether Lord, created Fengdu, and built the Underworld with help from the Witch Race.
• Cangyuan returned to Three Immortal Island, completed the Five Innate Spirit Pearls, and later gave them to Zhao Gongming in exchange for the Dragon Binding Lock.
• When the Heavenly Court imprisoned the Human Race to forge the Witch-Slaying Sword, Cangyuan joined Xuandu’s effort and secretly moved the captives into his Human World.
• Cangyuan built the Martial God Realm for humanity, received the Kongtong Seal, and placed the Witch-Slaying Sword in the Human World so the trapped souls could be purified.
• During the Ten Suns disaster, Cangyuan took all ten Golden Crows, made the surviving prince his disciple, and used the nine fallen princes to create a Golden Crow incarnation.
• Cangyuan transformed the Witch-Slaying Sword into a Demon-Slaying Sword, sent its human souls to reincarnation, and renamed the surviving Golden Crow Lu Ya.
• After Da Yi’s death triggered the Witch-Demon war, the Twelve Ancestral Witches attacked the Heavenly Court, and Cangyuan planned to seize Hetu Luoshu from Kunpeng with Yunxiao and Zhao Gongming.

After the Witch-Demon Calamity, Cangyuan secured Yingzhou Island, helped repair the heavens, and advanced to Hunyuan Golden Immortal before becoming Jie Sect’s Vice Sect Master. As the Saints divided the Human Sovereign positions, Haotian and Yaochi arrived at Cangyuan’s island to seek his help.

• Cangyuan captured Kunpeng’s origin and the Hetu Luoshu, while the Witch Race destroyed the Heavenly Court and the rival leaders died in battle.
• Gonggong broke Mount Buzhou, and the Black Tortoise of the North Sea gave his limbs to become pillars that supported the sky as Nuwa repaired the heavens.
• Cangyuan established his dojo on Chaos Three Immortal Island, and Hongjun appointed Haotian as Heavenly Emperor and Yaochi as Queen Mother.
• Cangyuan chose the Indestructible Hearth Fire Trait for the Human Race, killed the Red-butt Monkey, and revealed the hidden Human Race to Tongtian.
• Cangyuan attained Hunyuan Golden Immortal, became Jie Sect’s Vice Sect Master, and appointed Zhao Gongming to discipline disciples who harmed the sect’s reputation.
• The Saints divided the Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors’ master positions, granting Tongtian four positions after he revealed he had the Kongtong Seal.
• Houtu resolved to ask Cangyuan for an Emperor’s master position, while Haotian and Yaochi arrived at Cangyuan’s island.
