"I-I'll call an ambulance right now."
"It's too late."
Yukino Yukinoshita said softly, "The nearest hospital is at least ten minutes away by car. But do you think she can hold on until the ambulance arrives in her condition?"
Nakano Mayu's face went pale with fright, and she was completely at a loss:
"What should we do?"
Yukino Yukinoshita glanced at the four girls coming downstairs:
"Are your blood types compatible?"
Nakano Ichika was the first to react:
"We're quintuplets. We all have type A blood."
Yukino Yukinoshita looked at the nearest Nakano Mayu:
"Give me your hand."
Nakano Mayu instinctively held out her hand, and Yukino Yukinoshita grabbed it.
Before she could react, a crystal-clear icicle quickly formed in Yukino Yukinoshita's hand. Its sharp ends pierced the arms of Nakano Mayu and Nakano Nino respectively.
Watching the blood flow through the icicle from her body into Nino's, Nakano Mayu immediately understood what she was doing. She did not resist, merely biting her lip and enduring the discomfort.
"Using an icicle for a blood transfusion? Even if it isn't solid, wouldn't the blood freeze because of the low temperature?"
Sakurajima Mai stared intently at the icicle, a question surfacing in her mind.
Her grades might not have been particularly good, but even elementary school students knew that using an icicle for a blood transfusion completely violated the laws of physics!
Yet the blood flowing rapidly through the icicle told Sakurajima Mai through undeniable fact that it had not coagulated because of the icicle's low temperature. Could this really be considered reasonable?
"Is spiritual power really this incredible?"
Sakurajima Mai sank into deep confusion. She even began to wonder whether physics truly existed.
