Beneath the Bodhi Tree, amid the Vast Illusory Light, two figures sat facing each other in silence.
This place had been desolate for countless ages. Only the wondrous teachings of Zen flowed through it. The two Sages, Jieyin and Zhunti, had merged their Dao Rhythms with the world around them, becoming indistinguishable from it.
The sorrow on Daoist Jieyin's face seemed to have deepened, while Daoist Zhunti wore a contemplative expression.
After a long while, Zhunti was the first to break the silence.
"Senior Brother, the time has come."
"Maitreya has already sent word from the North Sea. Everything is ready."
"We can have them act now."
Upon hearing this, the sorrow on Daoist Jieyin's face deepened further. He let out a soft sigh.
He slowly opened his eyes and looked toward his junior brother.
"Junior Brother."
"Are you sure we should continue with this plan?"
There was a trace of hesitation in his voice.
"You saw the situation in Chaoge City yourself."
"It is protected by a Human Dao Destiny formation, whose power far exceeds what you and I anticipated."
"If something goes wrong and you expose yourself, then..."
Jieyin paused, his tone heavy.
"The Karma involved is simply too great."
"When that happens, forget about Western Prosperity. Our current foundation may suffer damage as well."
Jieyin did not finish his sentence, but the meaning was clear.
Although Sages were powerful, the consequences of becoming entangled in the great Karma of the Human Dao were unimaginable.
When that happened, not only would their plans fail, they would also get themselves into trouble for no reason and form Karma with that Human Emperor.
Yet no fear could be seen on Zhunti's face. Instead, a look of resolve appeared.
"Senior Brother, the arrow is already nocked. It
