Fuxi gained the Ancestral Land’s support for moving the Human Race out of Witch Clan territory, and the mass migration led to the founding of Chen as the race’s first capital. The Human Race prospered under Fuxi, who became its first Human Emperor and established a new system of government.

• Fuxi told Wu and the other Ancestors that he wanted to move the Human Race, and they supported his plan.
• Wu instructed Fuxi to let Witch-Humans choose whether to migrate and explained that the Ancestral Land would move to Huoyun Cave.
• Fuxi announced the migration, and after the Ancestral Land publicly endorsed his decision, the tribes began preparing to leave.
• With help from the Witch Clan, the Human Race completed the migration, and Fuxi established Chen as its first capital.
• The tribes elected Fuxi as the first Human Emperor, and he appointed officials to govern the Human Race.

After Fuxi completed his ninety-thousand-year reign and regained his past-life memories, he became the Human Race’s Heavenly Emperor and handed the throne to Shennong. Fuxi agreed to oversee Huoyun Cave, while Houtu accepted Shennong as her disciple.

• Wu and the other leaders left Huoyun Cave for Chendu to welcome Fuxi after his merit was fulfilled, while Zhou Ming and Houtu also traveled there.
• Zhou Ming bestowed the title of Heavenly Emperor of the Human Race on Fuxi, and Heaven sent merit to Fuxi, Zhou Ming, and Fuxi’s worthy ministers.

Shennong began tasting herbs to find remedies for the Human Race and discovered the Five Grains, asking Ao Guang's Dragon Clan to bring rain for their cultivation. Ao Guang took Nuwa to the East Sea with Houtu's permission and extra protection, leaving her excitedly traveling with him.

• Houtu gave Shennong a pill-refining method, but he realized it was too difficult for ordinary people and decided to identify herbs by tasting them himself.
• Shennong endured repeated poisonings while testing plants, then found grains he named the Five Grains and taught the people to cultivate them.
• Shennong asked Ao Guang to arrange timely rain across Human territories, and Ao Guang eagerly accepted the task for the Dragon Clan.

While showing Nuwa the East Sea, Ao Bing fell asleep and failed to stop a sudden wave from sweeping her overboard. As Ao Bing desperately searched the sea, a protective light shield appeared around the sinking Nuwa, accompanied by phantoms of Houtu and Zhou Ming.

• Ao Bing took Nuwa on a tour of the East Sea Dragon Palace, where she grew tired of the seabed and asked to visit the surface.
• Ao Bing gladly took Nuwa out on a small boat, then fell asleep in the warm sunlight while she explored the deck.

Houtu and Zhou Ming concluded that Nuwa’s fall into the East Sea was a tribulation caused by her sharing a name with the Sage Nuwa, so Zhou Ming renamed her Jingwei. Houtu took Jingwei back to Chendu, while Ao Guang and Ao Bing were left relieved but chastened.

• Houtu and Zhou Ming found no sign of a Sage or the Heavenly Dao causing Nuwa’s fall and agreed she had survived her tribulation.

Meanwhile, Shennong completed and spread the Shennong's Hundred Herbs Classic, bringing medicine to the Human Race and approaching the end of his reign.

• Zhou Ming told Chi You to reincarnate as a Human and challenge Xuanyuan, not to win but to make him worthy of becoming Human Emperor.
• Chi You went to the Underworld, where Pingxin sealed his baleful energy and sent him through Reincarnation.
• Chi You was born into the Jiuli Tribe, and his father named him Chi You.
• Shennong completed the Shennong's Hundred Herbs Classic after recording the medicinal properties of countless plants.

After the Twelve Golden Immortals failed to defeat Chi You, they returned to Kunlun Mountain and reported to Venerable Lord Yuanshi. Yuanshi discovered that Pingxin had sealed Chi You’s former Great Witch body inside his reincarnated body, and feared the Witch Clan was helping him contend for the third Human Emperor.

• The Chan Sect immortals worried that Xuanyuan might turn against them, but Guang Chengzi argued that Xuanyuan had no choice but to keep cooperating with their sect.
• Guang Chengzi led the Twelve Golden Immortals to Kunlun Mountain to seek Venerable Lord Yuanshi’s guidance on how to deal with Chi You.

Xuanyuan and Chi You led their armies to the Plains of Zhuolu after their failed negotiations, setting the Human Race’s greatest war in motion. Guang Chengzi and fourteen other Chan Sect immortals attacked Chi You as Xuanyuan ordered his army to charge.

• Guang Chengzi returned to Chendu with Daoist Burning Lamp, Immortal Official Nanji, and Yun Zhongzi, and assured Xuanyuan that a treasure from their master would secure victory over Chi You.
• Chi You accused Xuanyuan of ambushing him during their talks and rallied the Jiuli warriors to march on Chendu, while Xuanyuan mobilized his allied tribes toward the Plains of Zhuolu.

Ying Long and Nine Heavens Xuannü arrived to assist him, leaving the Chan Sect resentful that the Dragon Clan and Heavenly Court would share in their merit as Xuanyuan led everyone out to welcome them.

• Xuanyuan told Guang Chengzi, Burning Lamp, and the other Chan Sect immortals that the You Xiong Tribe could not match the Jiuli Tribe and asked how to improve his army.
