A Sudden Turn of Events

She looked as though she hadn't left the house in a long time, and she was extremely sensitive to everything around her.

I sighed and brought her to the playground. Li Tongtian had already been waiting for us.

When I saw him, I said irritably, "Couldn't you find someone to come pick her up?"

"It was already good enough. Her husband had locked her in the house. I was the one who found someone to pick the lock and get her out." Li Tongtian looked at me as he spoke.

"This is fine, then." She sighed in relief and said softly, "It's been five years. I wonder what my daughter looks like now."

We had already reached the entrance. Looking at the abandoned school in the distance, I suddenly hesitated. Was it really a good idea to drag this innocent woman into this? She had already suffered enough.

Thinking of this, I looked toward Li Tongtian. He looked at me and said, "Whether we succeed this time or not, let's let her see her daughter. Consider it fulfilling the wish of a pitiful mother."

I froze for a moment, then nodded. Li Tongtian was right.

I looked at the woman and whispered, "Auntie, don't rush forward later. Just look from behind the door. Don't go any closer. If your daughter suddenly gives in to her vicious nature, you could lose your life."

"How could she hurt me? I raised her." The woman muttered to herself.

"She isn't human anymore. You have to be careful." I said sternly.

The woman nodded to show that she agreed.

I shouted toward the entrance, "Han Qianqian, get out here!"

As my voice rang out, a deathly pale figure in the distance on the playground shot toward us like a sword. In the blink of an eye, she arrived in front of me.

Even with a door between us, I could still feel the fiendish aura radiating from her entire body.

Han Qianqian had arrived.

She gripped a dagger and looked at us viciously.

"Daughter!" When the woman saw Han Qianqian, she cried out frantically and was about to rush toward her.

"Hold her back! It'll be troublesome if something happens!" I hurriedly shouted at Li Tongtian.

Li Tongtian desperately held down her shoulder, while Lan Lele grabbed her other arm.

When I saw this, I hurriedly reached out to stop her. But a tremendous force came crashing into me, knocking me to the side. Fortunately, I hadn't entered through the door. At that moment, the woman charged inside, crying out. She threw her arms around Han Qianqian and sobbed, "Daughter, I finally get to see you. We'll never be apart again."

Han Qianqian looked at the woman holding her. A trace of viciousness surfaced in her eyes, and the dagger in her hand was already raised!

"Not good!" I was horrified when I saw this and wanted to rush over to save her, but Li Tongtian grabbed me.
