I was quite calm. Looking toward the distant Kunlun Mountains, I said, "We're finally almost there."
"What exactly are we here to do? This place is so remote. There are hardly any households around." Liu Ling'er said.
"That's normal." I said calmly, "They say there are unimaginable things here. So although Kunlun Mountain is known as a sacred mountain, relatively few people come here normally."
"Why do you say that?" Liu Ling'er asked curiously.

We walked all the way to the main range of Kunlun Mountain. There were somewhat more signs of human habitation here, but even so, only a sparse few could be seen.
To Liu Ling'er's surprise, however, I did not take her to the Taoist Temple on Kunlun Mountain. Instead, we went somewhere else.
"Is Tianhou not in the Taoist Temple?" Liu Ling'er asked.
"The place where they are is extremely well hidden. Ordinary people cannot enter, no matter what they do," I said.

"Come with me." Taking her along, I walked on, stopping from time to time, until we reached the front of a valley. Just then, a herdsman in the distance called out to us.
"Whatever you do, don't go in there. That's Death Valley. Anyone who enters will die," the herdsman said.
"Don't worry. We're not going in. We're just taking a few pictures from outside," I said.
The herdsman was still uneasy. He warned us several more times before finally choosing to leave.
"Death Valley? Is this place in front of us Death Valley?" Liu Ling'er asked.
