In the water mirror, Old Unconventional stroked his beard, a hint of cunning flashing in his eyes. "Although the Blood Escape Technique is strange, it consumes an enormous amount of energy. That brat won't recover anytime soon. Hmph, he actually dared to commit murder right under my nose. Does he really think I'm a pushover?" He turned to look at Ao Yue, sizing him up from head to toe, and clicked his tongue in amazement. "Boy, you're quite capable. You actually forced that demonic brat to use the Blood Escape Technique. But you're pretty unlucky too, running into this sort of trouble the moment you left home."
Ao Yue gave a bitter smile. Waves of searing pain radiated from the wound on his back. He sat down cross-legged and circulated the spiritual energy within his body, attempting to suppress his injuries. "The senior is right. This junior really does have terrible luck." In his heart, however, he secretly felt fortunate. If Old Unconventional had not appeared in time, he would probably have already met his end.
