Purple Cloud Palace Three Lectures, Distributing Violet Qi, Xuanxiao: Why No Share for Me

Laozi asked, "May I ask Master, what is a Sage?"

Hongjun replied, "To be indestructible through myriad kalpas, immortal and unkillable, that is a Sage. Sages reside their souls in the Heavenly Dao space, and can be resurrected even if they die."

Yuanshi immediately followed up with, "May I ask Master, who can become a Sage?"

Hongjun said, "Nine is the extreme of numbers, but there are only seven Sage positions among my disciples. The Three Pure Ones possess great merit for opening the heavens and can achieve Sainthood. Nuwa will have great merit in the future and can also achieve Sainthood. As for Taiyi..." Hongjun was stumped, thinking, This Taiyi sat on a meditation cushion. It wouldn't be appropriate to prevent him from achieving Sainthood... What should I do?

Taiyi saw Hongjun's expression and thought, What's this? I've already become a disciple, and you're going to shortchange me? That doesn't seem right. Doesn't establishing the Demon Court count as great merit?

Within Hongjun's Primordial Spirit, he secretly connected with the Heavenly Dao and asked, "How is it? Taiyi sat on the Heavenly Dao meditation cushion, what should we do?"

Heavenly Dao replied, "Then give her a strand of Primordial Violet Qi. Don't worry, it's controllable."

Having received guidance from the Heavenly Dao, Hongjun said, "Taiyi also has the foundation to achieve Sainthood and can become a Sage."

Hongjun shook his head, took out an item, and said, "This item is called Primordial Violet Qi. Obtaining it allows one to achieve Sainthood. I only have seven strands in my hand, but the Heavenly Dao has its own sliver of opportunity for self-struggle."

With that, he cast the Primordial Violet Qi into the Primordial Spirits of the Three Pure Ones, Nuwa, Taiyi, Jieyin, Zhunti, and others, saying, "There are three methods to prove the Dao: proving the Dao through merit, refining Primordial Violet Qi with merit, and lodging the Primordial Spirit in the Heavenly Dao.

Proving the Dao through laws requires cultivating one's own laws to perfection, allowing one to become a Primordial Chaos Grand Unity Golden Immortal. Perfecting oneself grants strength no less than that of a Sage, but one cannot borrow the power of the Heavenly Dao. Currently, under the Heavenly Dao, proving the Dao through laws is as difficult as ascending to heaven.

Proving the Dao through strength is the path Pangu the Great God took, but he failed."

Xuanxiao raised his hand and asked, "Grand-Martial Uncle, is there truly no chance for proving the Dao through laws?"

Hongjun shook his head and said, "Proving the Dao through laws is difficult, but not entirely without opportunity. Your foundation is quite deep, you can try."

Afterward, Hongjun began distributing treasures. He took out the Taiji Diagram and said to Laozi, "This item is called the Taiji Diagram, an Innate Supreme Treasure. It can suppress the destiny of a great sect." Laozi took the Taiji Diagram and thanked the Dao Ancestor.

Upon hearing this, Xuanxiao immediately stood up and said, "Grand-Martial Uncle, why didn't you say that my father's magical treasure could suppress destiny?"

Hongjun looked embarrassed and said, "This item is a supreme treasure for killing. As for suppressing destiny... it's not as useful as other spiritual treasures."

Xuanxiao looked puzzled and said, "Then, Grand-Martial Uncle, aren't you showing favoritism? If my father's spiritual treasure cannot suppress destiny, then when he establishes a force in the future, won't his destiny be unstable and unsupportable?"
