Fairy Queen Titania
If you want to meet the Fairy Queen, you need other fairies to guide you if you don't have the affinity for the Path of Beauty.
Even if Merlin could teleport himself directly to the Fairy Kingdom, he still had to follow this basic principle.
—Because the Fairy Queen does not exist in the purely Material Realm.
She is more like someone in a painting, a song, or a work of art. Only those with eyes that appreciate beauty can find the path to the Fairy Queen.
Merlin had a good relationship with the fairies, as Merlin often played with them. Therefore, he could use a cheating method to get the fairies to take him there. Since the Fairy Queen didn't stop him, it was tantamount to tacit approval.
The fairies escorted Merlin forward.
The Fairy Kingdom is as beautiful as a dream.
The fantastical colors unimaginable in the Material Realm are all here—giant mushroom houses over twenty meters tall, pumpkin carriages drifting at high speed on the ground, wheat fields flowing like liquid gold, perpetually bright sunlight, and large expanses of blue, purple, and green glass tiles on all the buildings.
These fairies are only a dozen centimeters tall, about the size of an adult's palm.
They have no gender, but all of them are beautiful and lovely.
The fairies wore only one garment of varying colors and styles. Some wore almost transparent short skirts, others pure white dresses, and still others gentlemanly shirts and trousers... They decided their own attire as they pleased.
What fairies have in common is the luminous, crystal-like wings on their backs. When they fly, they also scatter light dust called "Fairy Dust."
These little creatures are the beings of the Path of Beauty. Although they appear cute and beautiful, they are actually dangerous creatures on par with griffins.
A the Great Collective of fairies gathered around Merlin, spontaneously singing a rhythmic a cappella. There were at least eight parts, without any training or sheet music, simply to express their current joyful mood.
As the music played, streams of rainbow-like light swirled around them, carrying Merlin into the air where he danced freely, like a roller coaster tracing beautiful streaks of light, before occasionally plummeting to near-ground height, eliciting cheerful giggles from the fairies.
Merlin remained calm and didn't scold them; he even joined in the a cappella chorus.
Along the roadside, you can see fairies painting, writing poetry, and sculpting. Upon seeing this scene, they all happily join in the chorus or add a few more strokes to their paintings.
As Merlin progressed, more and more fairies joined him. What was originally an a cappella chorus finally transformed into a true chorus after the first fairy to play the violin joined in.
Then, more and more fairies carrying musical instruments joined in, and the chorus, which had no lyrics and no structure, gradually grew grander. Merlin, smiling, directed the fairies around him with his staff like a spirited conductor.
Soon, a fairy conjured up a real conductor's baton and delivered it to Merlin. Thus, an orchestra flying in the clouds was finally formed.
A strange panorama unfolded amidst the clouds and sunlight, and the rainbow light beneath their feet transformed at times into a the Great Collective galloping donkeys, and at other times into a flock of crows. Each fairy chuckled, changing everything around them at will.
Finally, just as the chorus reached its climax, Merlin was transported to a floating island by a silver carriage pulled by pure white horses.
The fairies deliberately made Merlin circle in the sky so that he could finish singing the song and arrive right on time.
If you anger the fairies or repeatedly urge them and spoil their fun, they might just throw the "passenger" off the sky—not even to death, but to fall directly into the crack of the world; or the fairies might pretend to throw the person down and then suddenly pull them up.
Anyway, the fairies are just doing it for fun. In the Fairy Kingdom, they can do almost anything; you could say they get whatever they want.
It's precisely because of Merlin's carefree personality that he can play with the fairies without any pressure, and even relax. And as long as he can have fun with the fairies, he becomes their friend, and they will do anything for him.
When Merlin reached the finish line, the fairies spontaneously dispersed to do their own thing. In an instant, not a single fairy remained by Merlin's side.
Before Merlin stood a palace so enormous it was almost unbelievable.
The walls were as high as city walls, and the gates were four or five meters tall. But they weren't made of brick or metal... they were all made of transparent candy. A long red carpet rolled over from afar and unfolded before Merlin.
Looking up, it's already several hundred meters just to the palace gate.
—Since we're already inside, we can teleport here.
"... Today is the candy shop."
Merlin smacked his lips, feeling a little hungry.
He pressed down on his hat and waved his staff.
In an instant, he passed through layers of walls and landed in the royal palace.
The Biscuit Soldiers stood tall and proud on both sides. They each held a transparent weapon made of candy... The proportions of the biscuits and candies were normal, as if they had shrunk by more than ten times.
Or rather, you were shrunk by more than ten times.
Fairies who are usually only a hand's width tall are now like giants—the Fairy Queen looks to be over three meters tall, sitting on that equally large, exaggerated white candy throne.
Merlin bowed respectfully. "Your Titania."
"It's been a long time, Merlin."
The Fairy Queen's voice was completely different from that of the little girl fairies—her voice was elegant and rational, like a polite young lady or a young noblewoman.
She had long, curly, milky-white hair, honey-colored pupils, and pointed, elfin ears. She wore a pure white dress, crystal high heels, and held a strange scepter in her hand—the scepter's head was not a gemstone, but a silver birdcage.
Inside the birdcage was a small bird made of blue and red gemstones, which appeared to be a robin.
"There are a few things. One is to ask who has recently gained fairy abilities; another is to know who you have invited to visit... and the last is to borrow the Fairy Hole."
Merlin asked politely.
"I'll ask about the first and third things for you later... There aren't many guests right now, just a few people."
The Fairy Queen Titania thought for a moment, then smiled and said to the birdcage, "Right, James?"
As soon as she finished speaking, the Gem Bird transformed into an old man.
There's expected to be three updates today, meow.
