He suddenly thought of the Lust Card he had created to seal the succubus's soul.

A beautiful, completely naked goddess lay drunkenly atop a lion with seven heads—this was another interpretation of the state of Constant Self and the Beast Lord: perhaps Constant Self had never truly tamed the Beast Lord. Instead, they had both been immersed in an uncontrolled passion. In that chaotic state, Constant Self, as the clearer and more rational side, had emerged to the surface.

Compared with the more traditional interpretation, this new one had won more approval from occult scholars. In other words, Constant Self and the Beast Lord were now two sides of the same entity. Their powers were mixed together—they loved eternally, and they battled eternally.

And Iver remembered that the Ovum Moon Grimoire had originally belonged to Constant Self.

The moon was the egg of demonic nature, from which monsters hatched.

But if that was the case, who was the father of the monster? At this thought, a possibility surfaced in Iver's mind: perhaps Selene was not a clone of Lily's Path of Love at all.
