"Huh? You're calling us by our first names already?" Miyamoto Raika folded her arms, leaned forward, and studied him.

She was tiny, but her mannerisms were adorable. Sometimes she could make people laugh without even trying.

"Uh..." Sakai Wakana glanced away, her expression complicated. "Hello."

"Just think of me as someone who gets friendly fast. I'm already calling Sawa by her first name anyway." He shrugged.

"You worked so well together last time. It really got to me. I loved 'Heart's Melody' too!"

"Thank you!" Miyamoto Raika proudly puffed out her modest chest, then sighed. "But it's still such a shame! If it hadn't rained, it would've been even better!"

"'Heart's Melody'? The song Mahiru and Naoko wrote?" Okita Shiho sounded surprised that she could join in the youngsters' conversation.

"Huh? You know it too, ma'am?"

"Of course. I was in the Choir Club back then!"

Miyamoto Raika looked puzzled. "The Choir Club? Not the Vocal Music Club?"

"That's right, the Choir Club!" Okita Shiho seemed to drift back to her youth. "Shirahamasaka High School's Choir Club was amazing in those days. We won quite a few awards!"

"Huh. So you graduated from Shirahamasaka High School too, Ms. Shiho?"

"Back then, students around here pretty much went to either Shirahamasaka or Kamakura High School."

Sakai Wakana froze. It felt like fate repeating itself. The information she had always wanted had reached her in a way she never expected.

So the song her mother had sung to her really was one her mother had written. No wonder she had said it was Wakana's song...

"Oh, right. Wakana, your mother was Mahiru, wasn't she?" Okita Shiho suddenly remembered. After a moment's thought, she said, "Wait here!"

With that, she got up and headed for the storeroom beside the main house.
