Background / History

Mahiru lived alone in apartment 502 in Fuchu City. Her biological parents provided for her daily needs but neglected her emotionally, leaving her to question why they did not love her despite her efforts to be “cute.” 30 97

She first met Sakurakoji Talent while he was disguised as Ogura Asahi, a young woman who offered her dessert and comfort in a park. Mahiru quickly became attached to Asahi, inviting her home and fearing that their parting meant they might never meet again. 30

At her graduation ceremony, Mahiru introduced Asahi as the unrelated sister she had met outside her family. Asahi attended the ceremony and gave her a personally designed and made dress, which Mahiru treasured deeply. 43

After learning more about Mahiru’s neglectful home life, Asahi offered to bring her into the Sakurakoji/Okura family as an adopted sister and protect her from her parents. Mahiru eventually accepted the offer. 97 She later entered Seijo High School as the top scorer on its entrance examination. 94
