Background

Galvis travels in search of heroic legends for an assignment from his teacher, Master Wisna. He explains that completing and refining a personal story or poem is part of a Bard's lifelong path to advancement. He selects Roland as the protagonist of his work after witnessing his discipline, talent, and heroism. 109 148 371

He meets Roland aboard a ship under attack by Sandfin Merfolk and sharks. Playing his harp at the bow, Galvis calms the attacking sea creatures long enough to disrupt their assault. Afterward, he theatrically introduces himself and declares Roland the hero he has been searching for. 109

During the group's time in the River Nations, Galvis supplies intelligence on noble politics, bloodline legends, and pirates. He joins Roland, Avril, and Theresa in their battles against Dire Goblins, where his music provides critical battlefield control and support.
