The rulers of the Abyss World fled one after another. The Supreme Abyss Realm had already become an empty shell, its strong experts scattered to the winds.

However, an extremely interesting scene had appeared in the Abyss.

The Mortal Ancient Gods who had ascended from the Abyss Ocean did not flee.

There were two reasons.

1. They could not run.

Most of them were lower-realm prodigies who had only recently ascended from the Myriad Worlds. They had just proven the Giant God Dao Body and achieved the Lower Ancient God level, with most being only first- or second-level Ancient Gods.

At this level, they were not fast enough at digging tunnels. They were precisely the favorite targets of the lower-realm powerhouses.

Those people could not beat them, but they could disgust them, delay them, and bury them alive, leaving them unable to move, slow as snails, gradually turning them into amber and fossils. Once they slowly died of old age, they would dig them out again.

That way, they could obtain a secret realm of the Myriad Worlds where a god had fallen!

Thus, the high-level Ancient Gods above could flee, but they could not.

2. They did not believe that the rulers of the Ancient Tree World would kill them.

After all, they were residents who had ascended like those of the Origin Continent—ordinary commoners. Even after attacking the Abyss and ruling this realm, those rulers would not kill them.

After all, if they killed these people, the Abyss would become an empty shell. Who would work for these new bosses?
