Jiang Qiao walked forward along the jade-paved avenue.
Covered walkways and pavilions unfolded one after another on either side of him.
Painted beams, sweeping eaves, carved balustrades, and jade masonry surrounded him. Clouds slid over glazed roof tiles, sending out ripples.
This place was vast.
The buildings ahead seemed to stretch in endless waves, but he actually had to walk several dozen kilometers just to reach the ceremonial archway. The main hall still stood three kilometers beyond it.
It was too big.
Absurdly big.
Fortunately.
He encountered no supernatural attacks along the way, nor did he see any traces of curses.
Everything was silent.
There were neither evil spirits nor supernatural phenomena.
In this enormous space.
It felt as though Jiang Qiao truly was the only person wandering through it. Even his footsteps were clearly audible.
"Why build it so big?"
Jiang Qiao looked at the enormous pillars around him, each dozens of meters thick, and felt puzzled. From the visions, he could tell that the Immortals were all the size of ordinary people.
There had been no bizarre bodies hundreds of meters tall and hundreds of meters around the waist.
At least.
Not in everyday life.
"Surely it wasn't just for show?"
"Did these so-called Immortals have it so good that they got bored and decided to build everything huge?"
Clearly.
That possibility was slim.
After walking a little farther, Jiang Qiao finally reached the building.
These interconnected buildings were essentially extensions of a single structure. Its main body was a temple, and the front door alone stood a hundred meters tall.
The door was half open.
He looked inside.
The interior soared to an incredible height, its vaulted ceiling hidden in mist-like light, with no edge in sight.
"This building is anything but ordinary."
Jiang Qiao's eyes flickered.
