Each Fought Their Own Battle

A fierce light flashed in Jiang Qiao's eyes as lightning burst across his body like a spiderweb.

Threads of black lightning spread outward, forcibly driving back every supernatural force and curse trying to enter the morgue.

Then...

Eerie green Bone Fire broke free from the threads wrapped around it and surged into the corridor!

One grotesque, terrifying figure after another appeared in the firelight. They packed nearly the entire corridor, so densely that even the Dual Pupils' gaze could not pierce the darkness.

Jiang Qiao growled.

The flames surged as though doused in gasoline, green light flooding the entire corridor in an instant.

He stepped forward.

Three strands of lightning twisted together into a thick bolt that shot from his fist and pierced five or six Vicious Ghosts at the morgue door!

"Aah!"

Shrieks rang through the dark corridor, so dreadful that anyone who heard them felt their heart clench and could barely breathe.

"Get back!"

Jiang Qiao threw a second punch, instantly shattering two more Vicious Ghosts.

Bone Fire now covered the corridor completely. Every evil spirit became fuel, feeding the blaze.

"Waaah..."

Layers of evil spirits blocked Jiang Qiao's view, but anything still making noise while burning in Bone Fire had to be terrifying.

No matter how vicious it was, though, it had lost its former menace.
