Naruto gained control of new powers, built a wary alliance with Kurama, and maneuvered around Konoha’s leaders while pursuing bloodline abilities. As Hinata committed herself to becoming stronger and Naruto began training with Kakashi and Guy, he prepared to remove part of his seal and summon Minato for access to Uzumaki techniques.

• Zhang Ming chose a new life as Naruto, learned Chakra Mastery, and began building a connection with Kurama while keeping his intentions hidden from Konoha’s leaders.
• Naruto asked Kurama for power, and Hiruzen rejected Danzō’s demand to train Naruto under Root before teaching Naruto Wind Release.
• Naruto defended Hinata from bullies, but the villagers attacked him, so he used Kurama’s Chakra and pretended to collapse after Hiruzen confronted him.
• Naruto awakened his Mangekyō Sharingan, fought Kurama in the Sealing Space, and discovered that Bishamonten could absorb energy and strengthen his abilities.
• Naruto killed an Anbu who attacked him and absorbed the ninja’s Invisibility Release, then followed Shisui and confronted him over his plan to stop the Uchiha coup.
• Naruto resisted Shisui’s Kotoamatsukami, formed a black Susanoo, and urged Shisui to reconsider opposing the coup before leaving him to face the clan’s future.
• Hinata trained harder for Naruto’s sake, while Hiashi strengthened security and Neji defeated Hinata in a spar that she vowed to repeat.
• Naruto sparred with Kakashi and began training with Guy, then told Kurama he planned to remove one of the seals and summon Minato to learn Flying Thunder God and Uzumaki sealing techniques.

Naruto captured Shisui and took both of his Mangekyō Sharingan, while recruiting Nonō and exposing more of Danzo’s schemes to those around him. As Naruto began attending the Academy and grew closer to Hinata and Sasuke, Fugaku asked Itachi to support a bloodless revolution, and Naruto appeared before the Uchiha offering hope.

• Naruto shared his memories of the village’s abuse with Minato, learned the Four Symbols Sealing Technique, and prepared to capture Shisui.
• Danzo ambushed Shisui and stole his right eye, but Naruto attacked Danzo, took the eye, and later helped Shisui escape with Nonō into the Sealing Space.
• Minato took Shisui’s remaining eye, while Naruto absorbed both eyes and gained a stronger Susanoo and the ability to perceive fragments of the future.
• Naruto revealed his identity to Shisui, persuaded Nonō to join him, and told her that Danzo had manipulated her into a mission that would end with her and Kabuto killing each other.
• The Uchiha suspended coup discussions while Shisui remained missing, and Hiruzen and Danzo argued over the masked attacker and Shisui’s eyes.
• Naruto started at the Academy, used genjutsu to terrify Dongye, and later sparred with Hinata and Sasuke while challenging Neji’s ideas about fate.
• Fugaku revealed his Mangekyō Sharingan to Itachi and asked him to help lead a bloodless revolution, while Itachi saw himself kneeling before Konoha’s leaders.
• After Setsuna accused Fugaku of trusting Itachi, Naruto appeared beside him and offered the Uchiha a little hope.

Naruto rescued the surviving Uchiha, devastated Konoha, and took Neji with him to build power in Wave Country. After establishing control there, he brought Orochimaru and his followers into his orbit and learned of Akatsuki’s next recruitment plans.

• Uchiha Itachi and Obito Uchiha attacked the Uchiha, but Naruto and Uchiha Shisui saved many survivors before Naruto confronted Konoha’s forces.
• Naruto revealed his Nine-Tails power, fought Konoha’s shinobi, escaped with Minato Namikaze and Uchiha Itachi, and destroyed much of Konoha with a black sphere.
• Naruto confirmed to Neji that he had caused the devastation, and Neji left Konoha with him despite Hinata sensing his departure.
• Naruto settled the Uchiha in Wave Country, declared his plan to unify the Ninja World, and took control of the country with Yakushi Nonō and Uchiha Izumi handling key duties.
• Uchiha Sasuke and Uchiha Izumi executed Uchiha Itachi, and Sasuke awakened his three-tomoe Sharingan while Izumi awakened her Mangekyō Sharingan.
• Uchiha Izumi defeated Zabuza at Kado Manor, captured him, Haku, and Gato, and joined Uchiha Inaho’s group as they brought the Wave Country daimyo into custody.
• Naruto left Wave Country to find Orochimaru, then compelled Orochimaru and his followers to join him and directed Orochimaru to attend Akatsuki’s meeting.
• At the Akatsuki meeting, Zetsu identified Naruto as the likely destroyer of Konoha, while Pain assigned Sasori to recruit in Kirigakure and Orochimaru and Kakuzu to recruit Hidan.

Naruto recruited Kakuzu, rescued Karin and her mother, and seized the Box of Paradise before returning to develop Wave Country. When Jiraiya and Kakashi arrived with Kirigakure’s Mei Terumi, Naruto confronted Jiraiya and left him apparently defeated, though a small toad carried his body away.

• Naruto and Orochimaru defeated Kakuzu, then Naruto recruited him as Wave Country’s finance minister and captured Hidan for Orochimaru to study.
• Naruto reached Kusagakure, rescued Karin and Uzumaki Suika from the village’s abuse, and ordered Orochimaru and Kakuzu to deal with those responsible.
• Naruto released Satori from the Box of Paradise, defeated the monster, sealed the box, and brought Mui, Muku, and Ryuzetsu back with him.
• Naruto returned to Wave Country, appointed Kakuzu chief financial officer, arranged medical training for Karin and her mother, and set plans for schools and Orochimaru’s research base.
• Jiraiya and Kakashi traveled to seek an alliance with Kirigakure, where Mei Terumi joined them and their ship entered Wave Country’s waters.
• Uchiha Inabi confronted Jiraiya’s party, and Naruto appeared with Uchiha Izumi before demanding that Mei Terumi and her companions come to the island.
• Naruto told Jiraiya that he would destroy the world and create it anew, then fought him as Jiraiya summoned Gama Ken and entered Sage Mode with Fukasaku and Shima.
• Naruto overwhelmed Jiraiya’s attacks and stabbed him, but a small toad swallowed Jiraiya’s body and disappeared before Naruto could strike again.
