The World of Plants

The Plant Master shook his head. It didn't matter to him whether the other party was a representative of that kind of power or not.

Anyone who stopped him from saving Earth, from saving the world, was his enemy.

To save the world he cherished, for world peace, to defeat evil darkness, to defeat decaying Death, he, Jason Wood, was willing to pay any price!

"Foolish fellow."

The power of The Green surged within his body, its boundless vitality pouring into the embrace of the Atlantic like the Amazon River.

"You don't understand what we're facing at all. The decaying darkness is coming, ultimate death, ultimate decay. I have to strengthen the power of The Green."

"I apologize for encroaching on The Red's domain, but I will never stop my actions."

The Plant Master said, "This is the last resort to save the entire Earth from decaying death! Only The Green can save..."

"The Red doesn't intend to pursue your actions."

He heard the big green dinosaur in front of him say, "This is just a fight between us."

"I just want to beat you to death right now, or... be beaten to death by you."

The aura of the green dinosaur grew more awe-inspiring. As he confronted the Plant Master, it was as if invisible currents were interacting in the air.

Red and Green.

Plants and animals.

A clash of ideals, a battle of beliefs, about to ignite!

Deathshot's expression was a bit strange.

Why did this scene feel so familiar?

He glanced sideways at Dizzy Earl, who looked solemn, seemingly completely intimidated by Batman and the Plant Master.

Then Deathshot looked at Cheshire Cat, who was squatting nearby, panting, and Welding Dog, whose limbs were twisted as he lay on the ground like a corpse.

The sense of déjà vu grew stronger.

"Ah~"

Ms. Vick flew over his head, still struggling fiercely with the vines.

These trees had been set to automatic attack mode by Poison Ivy, requiring no manipulation from the Plant Master—

But in the end, not every tree was set with such an automatic attack trap. Ms. Vick just happened to encounter them every time, purely out of bad luck.

Deathshot saw the dinosaur that Batman had become and the Plant Master getting closer and closer. Chen Tao was also getting closer to them.

The Plant Master's aura surged! He was about to attack! He spread his arms wide! He was mobilizing as much of The Green's authority as possible to control more plants!

Then Chen Tao reached out, grabbed the bewildered Dizzy Earl with his left hand like a doll, scooped up Welding Dog and Cheshire Cat with his right hand like dead weight, tucked Deathshot under his arm, and brought his legs together. With a swish, he transformed into wheels.

"?"

"Damn it, again? You—woo woo woo—"

Deathshot was caught off guard, his head shoved under Chen Tao's armpit, almost passing out.

The big green dinosaur's engine roared, and with the Plant Master chasing behind, they quickly disappeared into the woods.

Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn hugged each other, teary-eyed, enjoying the peaceful moment.

They couldn't help but gaze at each other, wiping away each other's tears.

Their lips drew closer and closer... closer and closer...

BOOM!

A green Tyrannosaurus Rex smashed a tree blocking its path in half. Behind the billowing dust and collapsing trees, the Plant Master, piloting a wooden dragon and a giant tree crab, followed closely.

Wherever they passed, the trees were either knocked down by the dinosaur or manipulated by the Plant Master to become part of the power he wielded.

The big green dinosaur finally spotted the two hugging figures, its eyes lighting up.

It hadn't been in vain that he had painstakingly planned for so long.

"Heavens!" Harley Quinn exclaimed.

"Pamela, you've finished..." The Plant Master, emerging from behind the trees, spoke only half the sentence before seeing the two embracing figures. The two pairs of eyes blinked at him, making him pause.

His expression turned grim, and the leaves on his face began to turn a deep, dark green.

"So... this is where your loyalty lies? Like a hopeless meat bun?"

Chen Tao, transformed into the big dinosaur, galloped behind the two girls and reverted to human form.

"Great, Harley, you convinced her. Come on, Ivy, it's up to you. Go teach your old partner a lesson."

"..."

Robin, Deathshot, and the others, thrown by Chen Tao, staggered to their feet, dizzy and disoriented.

"We can't do this, Jason!" Poison Ivy stood up. "If we mess up any step, the entire Earth will be destroyed. And even if the swamp water in Louisiana helps us succeed, such an action would deal a devastating blow to the power of The Red—"

"Do you really think The Green can be enhanced to the point where it can contend alone with..."

"Yes! As long as The Green is strengthened enough, it absolutely can!"

Plant Master retorted even louder, "I'd rather try!"

"..."

"Fine, I'm out," Poison Ivy said.

Plant Master was silent.

"What a shame."

The next moment, he opened his palm.

BOOM!

BOOM!

BOOM!

The earth trembled.

Giant hands made of countless plants broke through the surface, just like the giant beanstalk connecting the ground and sky in fairy tales.

Everyone stared blankly upwards, seeing the shadow cast upon their faces.

Countless strange plants, man-eating flowers, pain trees, and wolfsbane wove a dark cloud above everyone's heads, like a mountain range hanging upside down!

Then...

The sky collapsed!

The countless plants rolled down, rushing towards everyone like a waterfall, as if the earth were a piece of torn cloth, cut off and thrown onto everyone's faces!

"No!"

Deathshot let out a scream.

He felt like he was on the verge of a nervous breakdown.

But the next second, the plants rolling down from the sky instantly stopped.

It was Poison Ivy!

The smile on Plant Master's face froze.

"Impossible! I clearly ate the Swamp Thing's tubers!"

"Hehehe..."

Cold sweat broke out on Poison Ivy's face, her teeth chattering.

"Stop him! Little Red!"

Harley Quinn's encouragement gave her strength. Green light flashed in Poison Ivy's eyes, her red hair flying—

"Who do you think I am?"

Plant Master struggled with all his might. His dark golden eyes nearly popped out of their sockets, but the plants covering the sky were still being pushed back bit by bit by Poison Ivy's power!

Drip.

A drop of sweat fell from Poison Ivy's chin to the ground.

CRACK!

Everyone heard the deafening sound, and everyone looked at Poison Ivy in disbelief.

The red-haired plant witch walked step by step towards Plant Master. With each step she took, the plants controlled by Plant Master crumbled a little more. Her movements were difficult, but she completely overwhelmed Plant Master, leaving him no room to fight back.

She extended her hands and fiercely grasped the otherworldly green veins.

"Hnnngh—"

The plants collapsed, the green receded, and Plant Master retreated in horror—

"I am Ivy, I am Poison Ivy—and the plant world—belongs to me!!!"

RIIIP!

All the plants shattered in an instant and then turned to dust in the air.

Poison Ivy stood panting before the stunned and speechless Plant Master. The apocalyptic scene of dark clouds pressing down just moments ago felt like a dream.

The next second, with a BANG, Poison Ivy was knocked to the ground by Plant Master's fist.
