The upper echelons of the entire shelter announced to the public that they were about to enter the "Age of Divine Creation."
Because of their research into qi and the Soul Domain, their Genetic Engineering had achieved a major breakthrough. Their genetic engineering technology had matured and now completely surpassed that of twenty-first-century humans in the outside world.
Before long, the Old Humans on the island began calling themselves the New God Race. They had grasped the mighty power to modify life—the power to edit and transform living beings.
"We are descendants of that Old God!"
They began erecting statues of their ancestors.
One statue depicted a Man with the Tear Mole, whom they worshiped.
On either side of the Tear Mole Deity stood two statues of Immortal Herbs. They were worshiped as well and called attendants of the Immortal Herbs Deity.
Most of the time, they did not care whom they worshiped.
But during the explosive period of rapid change, as they struggled against the unknown terror of modifying their own bodies and the extinction brought by death and aging, they always needed a spiritual faith.
In reality, they were not lunatics. There was only one voice in their hearts:
"Flesh and hair are received from one's parents. No one wants to meddle with their own body, modifying it with unknown things whose side effects are unclear. But if the choice is between 'death' and 'modification,' then there is no choice at all."

The modification surgeries officially began, but their production capacity was scarce.
They needed to extract the sap and qi energy of Immortal Herbs. Moreover, only the sturdy skulls of humans who were at least Level Three Blessing Shamans could withstand the complete bodily mutation caused by the Gene Potion.
But
