Money Mouse
Mo Hua could sense that these demonic beasts shaped like "Money Mice" were currently crouching beside him, gnawing at his fleshly body, even gnawing through it at his Divine Thought, damaging his Dao body.
Their mouths also seemed to carry a virulent poison.
By some unknown means, this poison had seeped into his Sea of Consciousness, softening his Divine Thought and magnifying the pain.
Only now did Mo Hua suddenly realize that the agony of carving Taotie Patterns was not solely a problem with the Taotie Array itself.
These "Money Mice" were harming him as well.
They gnawed at him, poisoning his Divine Thought. The poison compounded the pain, and under their combined effects, the savage agony of Taotie devouring his body intensified to a level ordinary cultivators simply could not endure.
During the process of forging a Natal Array, once the pain exceeded the limit that Divine Consciousness could bear and drove one mad, something was bound to go terribly wrong.
At best, the Array Patterns would be flawed, and all previous effort would go up in smoke.
At worst, the bones would be damaged, vital energy would scatter, and the Great Dao would be forever out of reach.
Worse still, the Natal Array might self-destruct, killing him on the spot.
Had Mo Hua not possessed powerful "Divinity," along with the inhuman calm it brought and an almost cruel indifference toward himself... the consequences would have been unthinkable.
Nor could he possibly have carved the Twelve-Meridian Taotie Natal Spirit Bone Array.
Even now, though he had successfully carved his Natal Array, he had been forced to draw upon far too much "Divinity" to suppress the pain.
His "Divinity" had severely exceeded the limit, to the point that even he was no longer sure how much Humanity remained
