After handing the "Spirit Plant Array Treasury" to Mo Hua, Elder Tian finally laid one of his burdens to rest. After giving Uncle Ping a few instructions, he sank into an even deeper slumber.
He had always been half-dead. Though the Imp Life-Nurturing Formation sustained his life, his lifespan was already gone and his origin was on the verge of collapse. After being put through the turmoil caused by the tomb raiders, the line between life and death had grown even more blurred.
After this sleep, no one knew when he would awaken again.
Elder Tian closed his eyes and lay in the coffin, his face white as paper, without the slightest trace of breath.
Uncle Ping personally covered the coffin.
Mo Hua watched from the side. Perhaps he had been reminded of some experiences he would rather not recall, because his feelings were exceedingly complicated.
"A tomb's Earth Array that deceives the Heavenly Dao."
"The Imp Life-Nurturing Formation..."
"Square Inch Mountain..."
Mo Hua silently engraved these matters in his heart.
With Elder Tian's corpse sealed inside the coffin once more, this tomb-raiding trip had more or less come to an end.
Mo Hua put away the "Spirit Plant Array Treasury" Elder Tian had given him and prepared to take his leave.
Before leaving, however, there were still some trivial matters to settle.
Those were the corpses of Iron Mountain Tiger's group of three and Smiling Face.
Iron Mountain Tiger's group had been badly injured and knocked unconscious by Smiling Face. They were hovering on the brink of death, but they were not dead yet; a breath still remained in them.
Uncle Ping carried his sword to stand before the three men. He had intended to kill them to eliminate future trouble, but Mo Hua stopped him.
"Spare their lives,"
