Had this been an ordinary matter, he would never have dared defy Master Mo. Whatever the Master said would be final.

Mo Hua continued looking down at the grave in the deep pit, studying the Earth Figurine with its flowing pulp of flesh and the ghost head on the tomb door, his expression thoughtful.
General Chang returned roughly an hour later.
Behind him came a group of a dozen or so people, all splendidly dressed and possessing considerable cultivation.
Their leader was a middle-aged cultivator with a face like polished
