After returning to the Disciple Quarters, Mo Hua did not rush to cultivate. Instead, he carefully sorted through all of Old Ancestor Dugu's guidance in his heart.
He copied every crucial point onto a Jade Slip for future reference, so he would not forget.
Only then did he formally attempt to cultivate the "God-Slaying Divine Sword."
After Old Ancestor Dugu's guidance, Mo Hua finally understood:
He had, sure enough, practiced this God-Slaying Divine Sword Style wrong again!
The God-Slaying Divine Sword was not cultivated the way he had been doing it.
So-called self-slashing of the Life Soul did not mean truly slashing oneself. This "slash" meant relinquishment; it meant transformation.
One needed to uphold a heart that sought the Dao, relinquish the lesser self to fulfill the greater self, comprehend the origin of the Sword Dao, and achieve transformation in both divine sense and Sword Dao.
Mo Hua's feelings were complicated. Then he took out an ancient, unadorned bamboo scroll of the Sword Dao.
The Sword Patterns on the bamboo scroll were simple yet profound.
Ancient sword intent wandered amid the Sword Patterns.
This was the sword flow...
Mo Hua held his breath and focused, sitting quietly in meditation. Once he had gathered his concentration, he began formally visualizing the "Void Sword Flow" inscribed upon the bamboo scroll.
Relinquish the lesser self, forget one's own Sword Dao, and, with an empty state of mind, visualize the Void Sword Flow. Comprehend the origin of the Sword Dao, thereby draw close to the source of the sword, and thoroughly realize the Void Sword Dao.
After thoroughly realizing the Sword Dao, he could follow the ancestor's words and merge the origin of the Sword Dao into his own divine soul, wielding the true, immensely powerful "Void God-Slaying Divine Sword," enough to slaughter gods!
