Arc 5Uchiha Power and Reform

Uchiha Tokimitsu helped Hatake Sakumo win the Jonin Squad Leader election, then used the destruction of Root to force major concessions from Konoha’s leadership. As his clan’s influence grew and tensions with other clans mounted, Tokimitsu awakened the Mangekyō Sharingan and began testing its powers.

Arc 6The Eastern War and Bonds

Uchiha Tokimitsu created Hikari-no-Mikoto, led Konoha’s forces through a costly war against Kirigakure, and helped end the fighting. He returned to reshape the Eastern Border Defense Force and use the clans’ wartime bond troubles to expand Uchiha influence over Konoha’s finances.

  • Uchiha Tokimitsu turned the Great Dragon Fire Technique into the obedient spirit creature Hikari-no-Mikoto and secured support for the Uzumaki Clan’s claims to the Land of Whirlpools.
