Medisa felt a shadow sweep toward her, the air it stirred making her silver hair flutter like tassels. Although Fuxia was still a considerable distance away when she landed with a flap of her wings, she came down beside Leviathan's crystallized body, raised her head haughtily, and folded her wings.
Under the moonlight, she looked like a dark, somber mountain. At its summit, a pair of golden pupils, like two bright full moons, watched them.
"Greetings, esteemed Lady Fuxia."
Medisa lifted her head and looked at the mountain. It would have been a lie to say she was not afraid. Fuxia's most notorious era had not been the present. In fact, few people had even heard the name Seven Extreme Dragon King anymore. But during the era of the War of the Saints, the shadow of this King of Evil Dragons sweeping across the battlefield had been the nightmare buried in the hearts of all her opponents.
"Oh? I haven't heard that form of address in quite some time." Fuxia replied with some surprise.
"I once had the honor of seeing you during the War of the Saints." The Little Princess of the Silver Elves answered neither humbly nor arrogantly.
"Oh, I should have guessed. Silver Elf, aren't you afraid I'll eat you?" Fuxia lowered her head. Her sharp, elongated snout nearly touched Medisa's face, and her enormous golden pupils were almost taller than Medisa herself. Within them were rings of golden-red light, as if endless blazing flames were burning inside. She stared at Medisa, but the latter did not retreat even half a step.
Then she looked at Hypamira beside her. The young priestess was studying her curiously, as though comparing this Evil Dragon King with the lobster she kept to see what differences there were.
