Heart of Frost was neither equipment nor an Enhancement Crystal—or, for that matter, some kind of material into which a gem had been embedded. It was simply a consumable. Its sole function was to increase the user's Wind and Water Elemental Pool capacities by five percent, though it could only take effect once for each person.
This was undoubtedly the loot Brando needed most right now.
It was even one of the most crucial components of his path as a Spellweaver, a part that even Tumen could never have imagined: equipment, special items, consumables that increased one's abilities, and Enhancement Crystals. In Vonder, there were many pieces of equipment and enhancement items like Heart of Frost and Flame Star that could expand an Elemental Pool. Of course, for the sake of balance, aside from a small number of divine artifacts and Ancient Relics, similar magical and fantastical items did not increase an Elemental Pool by much.
But one thing had to be remembered: Brando himself was special.
Because he had two Elemental Pools, the bonuses from these items were effectively doubled. Heart of Frost, for example, had the Attributes of Wind and Water, increasing an Elemental Pool's capacity by five percent. For him, however, it actually increased it by ten percent.
A doubled bonus was already enough to change the original balance.
Brando even wondered whether Martha above had taken a special liking to him. Before entering the Frost-dyed Forest dungeon, he had expected to obtain equipment that expanded Wind and Water Elemental Pools, after all. It was one of Eluin's most famous dungeons, dominated by creatures of the cold. Still, he had not expected the surprise to arrive so soon.
Heart of Frost had a drop rate of only 0.003% in the game. On average, the region produced one
