Princess Griffine and Antitina walked one after the other through the corridor where light and shadow interlaced. Soft light streamed through the spacious white arched windows, casting their frames onto the floor, while light and dust hung suspended in the air.
"Your Highness, the Royalist Faction has been acting rather strangely lately."
Antitina suddenly spoke in a low voice. For a moment, she stood beneath the bright light, the golden buttons on her formal attire glittering in the sunlight. But she soon stepped back into the shadows, her eyes giving off a deep glow in the darkness.
Princess Griffine paused, then continued walking. Her voice was cool and calm. "They're finally unable to hold back any longer. How much time do we have left?"
"Your Highness, the ministers are extremely dissatisfied with how much you trust Lord Brando. They also have quite a few complaints about you sending Prince Haruze to Cruz. The matter of Lord Brando becoming involved in the civil war within the Empire has long been the subject of heated discussion throughout the kingdom. Antitina hesitated. "In fact, some rather unpleasant rumors have already begun circulating outside..."
Princess Griffine stopped once more, and Antitina stopped with her. The two stood beside a window, the boundary between light and shadow falling perfectly across Her Highness's upper body. Her smooth silver hair shone with a captivating luster beneath the sunlight, while a sea-blue gemstone rested at the chest of her gown, reflecting the disdain on her face.
"Rumors? You mean that those two adulterous dogs plotted to murder the Little Prince, so they could seize the throne in a perfectly 'legitimate' manner?"
After saying this, Princess Griffine herself felt that she had been too
