Background / History

The Martial Dao Tree awakens in fifteen-year-old Lu Chenzhou’s mind after his persistent training. It appears and disappears at his command, but neither Lu nor contemporary testing technology can identify its nature. Lu initially suspects it may be an exceptionally rare martial talent akin to a Martial Bone Dao Embryo and resolves to conceal it completely. 2

Its earliest function is a proficiency system: sweat nourishes it, practice improves the progress displayed on its leaves, and mastered cultivation methods appear on its trunk. When Lu perfects martial arts, the Tree blossoms and bears Divine Seeds that can be hidden in his acupoints. 2 9

As Lu encounters relics, historical sites, battlefields, and Great Dao essence, the Tree grows beyond a simple martial-arts panel. It becomes linked to his inner landscape and martial will, ultimately taking the symbolic form of a World Tree that carries the past forward and opens the future. 212 273 356

Near the end of Lu’s journey, he learns that the Tree is not merely a personal talent. It is the Tree of the Great Dao—the universe’s own will.
