Evan then made a startling discovery from Tru's memories: neither Tru nor Skuk knew that One-Eyed Beck possessed the Shipwreck Lament.
"Interesting."
However, the conflicts and opportunities surrounding the Shark Tooth pirates had vanished along with the deaths of the pirates' captain, vice captain, strategist, and most of its key officers. Evan had no intention of getting to the bottom of it. After all, he had already pocketed all the benefits they had accumulated, hadn't he?
Evan had already spent quite a while in the captain's cabin. After hastening to search its hidden compartments, he found unregistered Gold Notes worth over a thousand gold coins, along with a bag of multicolored gemstones that were hard currency anywhere. It was quite a haul.
A pirate ship was not a treasure ship; in reality, it only carried some liquid wealth. If they could truly find the pirate crew's treasure trove in the end, that would be the real jackpot!
But for now, he could only think about it. Evan did not yet have the means to sail out alone in search of adventure.
"Treasure hunting can wait. I'm already more than satisfied to have gained another Oceanic Secret Treasure."
After waiting a while longer, Gary and Chris returned from the cabins one after another. They had mainly searched the sailors' quarters and cargo hold. As the pirate crew's flagship, the Shark Tooth was certainly well stocked, but compared to Evan's haul, theirs was hardly worth mentioning.
When they saw another corpse in the captain's cabin, neither of them asked any questions. They simply assumed it was a straggler Evan had killed.
"After we return, send the things directly to the captain's cabin. Understood?"
"Hehehe, understood, understood!"
Without saying it aloud, they all understood that their gains counted as extra benefits for everyone
