Amid dense gunfire, a temporary defensive position formed by four armored vehicles came under wave after wave of Alien attacks.
Over a thousand survivors huddled in the middle, trembling beneath the roar of guns and cannons.
It was not that the armored vehicles did not want to take them away. The tires of two vehicles had been corroded by Alien blood, leaving them stranded where they were.
Several US soldiers were desperately carrying out repairs.
Keeping up a high-intensity firefight while conducting emergency repairs was naturally a test of their nerves.

Yet judging from the reply, that batch of reinforcements might be the only support they could receive in the near future.
If the vehicles here had not broken down, they probably could not even have sent this much help.
