After helping the Miscellaneous Affairs Department defeat a vicious ghost and summoning Medea, he prepared to visit Ilya and the Einzbern family.

• Xu Yue accepted Rinies’s offer of the El-Melloi Lord title, repaired her Magic Crest, and backed workshops that made El-Melloi a leading Clock Tower house.
• Bounty hunters tried to kill Xu Yue, but he defeated their attack, captured the Sealing Designation Magus, and secured new alliances and resources for El-Melloi.
• Xu Yue visited Fuyuki after Kiritsugu Emiya’s death, offered to adopt Shirou, and left him to remain at home with encouragement to pursue his dream.
• Li Guoqiang joined the Miscellaneous Affairs Department and helped investigate a vicious spirit that possessed people and threatened his pregnant girlfriend, May.
• Xu Yue and He Jinyin helped the department find and purify the spirit, after which Xu Yue supplied Spirit-Piercing Ammunition and blessed the detectives.

Xu Yue gathered allies as the corrupted Cu Chulainn and Black Sakura’s shadow overwhelmed the Holy Grail War, then helped Shirou inherit Archer’s arm. With the Black Grail advancing, Xu Yue took Shirou and Ilya back through time to seek the Jeweled Sword Sage.

• Xu Yue declined Ilya’s offer of an alliance, arranged for Medea to summon Sasaki Kojirou, and set him to guard a mana crystal workshop in Fuyuki.
• Archer attacked Xu Yue and Medea’s territory at Rin’s request, and Xu Yue forced Rin and Archer to agree to a temporary alliance.
• Cu Chulainn attacked Shirou at school, but Saber’s summoning saved him, and Cu Chulainn’s Master’s influence soon corrupted him.
• Black Sakura’s shadow consumed Cu Chulainn and Kojirou, while Xu Yue’s alliance learned that the enemy had taken control of the workshop.
• Xu Yue and Medea rescued Ilya and Sella during the attack on Einzbern Castle, and Archer and the others fought the corrupted Lancer and Black Grail’s shadow.
• Archer revealed he was Shirou from the future, gave Shirou his arm, and was devoured by the shadow before Xu Yue trapped the shadow and Old Man Matou in another space-time.
• Shirou recovered with Archer’s arm and Magic Crest, while Ilya explained the Black Grail’s origins and the need to reproduce the Jeweled Sword.

Xu Yue became the sixth Magician and settled his affairs before entering the Real World as a novice at Shaolin. There, he joined Meng Qi in the Six Paths Reincarnation Space, traded for powerful techniques, and helped train Meng Qi as they faced the consequences of their first mission.

• Xu Yue completed the Holy Grail ritual, drew the gathered fighters’ attacks into a passage to the Root, and became the sixth Magician.
• Xu Yue returned to reality as an Immortal Emperor, then arranged his plans for Europe and entered the Real World through an Other Self.
• Xu Yue took the name Zhen Se at Shaolin and befriended Meng Qi after they confirmed their shared origins.
