After dying in a Rain, Yu Sheng discovered that his home in Boundary City was an Otherworld and that he could return from death. He escaped Nightfall Valley with a severed monster tail, while Eileen remained trapped in her painting and strange changes appeared in the house.

• Yu Sheng died when a Rain Frog pierced his heart, then woke alive at home and discovered Eileen trapped in a painting behind a door that had once been locked.
• Yu Sheng opened his front door into an unfamiliar valley, where a giant beast killed him repeatedly as he tried to find a way back to the living world.
• Yu Sheng met Huli, fed her, and learned that she was the lone survivor of a crashed Immortal Boat expedition in a poisoned land.
• A grotesque monster attacked Huli, and Yu Sheng opened a golden door that carried him home while severing the monster’s tail.
• Captain Song and Li Lin investigated the anomalous house at No. 66 Wutong Road, but its traces vanished and their equipment failed.
• Yu Sheng returned with the severed tail, told Eileen about Nightfall Valley, and cooked and ate the monster meat as she urged him to seek Otherworld professionals.
• Yu Sheng found a furnished room and a mirror that showed a shattered doll beneath a huge winged shadow, but Eileen did not recognize the vision.
• Yu Sheng dreamed of Huli and found his finger’s bite wound present in the dream, while Eileen admitted she had come to watch him sleep.

Yu Sheng and Eileen strengthened their connection to Huli and entered the valley to confront Entity—Hunger. They drove the creature through a portal into a lake of magma, but Huli lost a tail and warned that the danger remained.

• Yu Sheng and Eileen entered Huli’s dream, where Yu Sheng saw the crash and deaths in the valley before calling Huli out of Hunger’s influence.
• Eileen identified Entity—Hunger as a rule-based threat, while Yu Sheng practiced opening doors and discovered he could revisit passages he had already encountered.
• Yu Sheng created a small clay body for Eileen, who could move away from her painting only while staying within its range.
• Eileen guided Yu Sheng into Huli’s dream so he could establish a connection to the valley, but Hunger overwhelmed his mind until Eileen woke him.
• Yu Sheng and Eileen opened a passage to the valley, drawing Li Lin, Xu Jiali, and Little Red Riding Hood into the Otherworld with them.
• Yu Sheng found Huli at the ruined temple and gave her food, but the awakened Hunger Entity attacked as wolves and other phantoms appeared.
• Yu Sheng opened a portal to a lake of magma while Eileen bound Entity—Hunger, and Huli knocked it through with a blue-flamed tail attack.
• Yu Sheng closed the portal, and Huli revealed she had lost a tail before warning that the danger was not over.

Yu Sheng survived the destruction of Nightfall Valley, brought Huli and the others to his home, and began making plans to explore the Otherworld. Baili Qing met with him, offered help with registration and his companions’ identities, and directed the Bureau to investigate his unusual visions and No. 66 Wutong Road.

• Yu Sheng died after a behemoth pierced his chest, while the Dark Angel appeared over Nightfall Valley and the valley began devouring itself.
• Huli led the survivors into a cave, and Yu Sheng revived and explained that he had taken root in Hunger, causing it to consume itself.
• Huli recovered her parents’ canine teeth from the wasteland, and Yu Sheng brought her and the others through his gate to No. 66 Wutong Road.
• Yu Sheng repaired Eileen with lotus-root material and epoxy putty, offered Huli a home in exchange for her help, and helped Little Red Riding Hood recover from her injuries.
• Song Cheng investigated Yu Sheng’s case, while Baili Qing approved cautious contact and ordered a deep dive after learning Nightfall Valley’s train stop had been canceled.
• The deep divers’ attempt to reach Nightfall Valley ended in contamination, and Baili Qing met Yu Sheng in a café to discuss his doors and the Bureau.
• Baili Qing examined Yu Sheng’s memories, promised to investigate the seaside city he remembered and Alice’s Dolls, and agreed to help with identities and registration.
• Baili Qing showed Song Cheng and Luo Zheng Yu Sheng’s vision of a crimson-lit city, then assigned the Second Brigade to matters involving Yu Sheng and No. 66 Wutong Road.

Yu Sheng explored Nightfall Valley as it healed and helped establish The Inn with Huli and Eileen, then joined Little Red Riding Hood on a dangerous museum commission. The group uncovered a staged sacrifice and clues to Angel Cultists, while Yu Sheng learned that his blood could connect him to the Museum.

• Yu Sheng found that Nightfall Valley had changed, healed the land with his touch, and discovered that its mountains formed a boundary with no outside.
• Yu Sheng rebuilt Huli’s parents’ graves, then returned home and agreed to let the Special Operations Bureau investigate the valley under his supervision.
• Ren Wenwen registered Huli and Eileen and helped Yu Sheng establish The Inn, while Yu Sheng received a Bureau phone and explored Border Communication.
• Yu Sheng discovered a strange metal device and a snowy reflection in a locked room, then learned from Little Red Riding Hood that a museum commission could pay well.
• Yu Sheng, Huli, and Eileen traveled with Little Red Riding Hood to the abandoned theater, entered Museum Night, and were attacked by security mannequins that kept reassembling.
• Yu Sheng used his blood to sense the guards and guide the group toward a white hall, where they found a drained corpse staged like The Weeper statue.
• Little Red Riding Hood briefly lost control of her cursed wolf after the group found the sacrifice, and Yu Sheng was bitten before Eileen, Huli, and the wolf cubs subdued it.
