Eileen lowered her head and looked at her fully restored right leg. First, she cautiously rotated the joint from side to side, then put on her sock and, holding Yu Sheng's hand, slowly stood up.
"Are... are both legs the same length?" The little doll looked straight up at Yu Sheng. "I didn't guide the reconstruction this time. I only infused it with spirit and fused it together. Help me take a look..."
Yu Sheng rolled his eyes. "Of course they're the same length. I only repaired the surface for you. I didn't cut it off and sculpt it all over again."
Eileen let out a relieved breath. She took a few steps back and forth across the table on her short legs, a smile finally appearing on her face. "I can run around again! Yu Sheng, your workmanship isn't bad this time. Maybe you really have a talent for making dolls?"
"Thanks for the compliment..." Yu Sheng replied casually. Then he watched as Eileen, having regained her mobility, slung the picture frame onto her back again. In just a few moves, she jumped from the table onto the nearby empty chair, then climbed backward from the chair to the floor and began racing around the open space in the attic in circles.
